Brooklyn grunge-pop band Charly Bliss have released a music video for "Ruby."   The AV Club , who premiered the video today, are calling the song "a midtempo anthem of fuzzed-out excellence, hearkening back to the days of mid-'90s scruffy rock exuberance."  Eva Hendricks spoke to The AV Club and told them the video is "inspired by public access television in general, but specifically the video of Ralph 'Whistler' Giese on the Kelly & Company show. We had the best time working with director Andrew Costa to create this bizarre, pastel, Midwestern world and enlisted our friends to be the zombie-townie audience."
Charly Bliss have also announced a tour dates with Pup and Rozwell Kid. Their energetic live show is not to be missed.

GRAMMY® WINNERS GHOST ADD DATES TO HEADLINING 'BLACK TO THE FUTURE' U.S. TOUR
LINKÖPING, SWEDEN- MAY 16, 2016 - Grammy® Award-winning band Ghost have added dates to their current 'Black To The Future' tour, which is currently hitting venues across the country. The band will perform in Des Moines, Minneapolis, and Green Bay following an appearance at Lollapalooza to wrap up the tour. Macabre will open the newly added shows. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning this Friday, May 20th at 10:00 AM local time. See below for a complete list of dates.  Ghost's "Cirice", from their critically acclaimed third album Meliora, was awarded a Grammy® for 'Best Metal Performance' this past February at the 2016 Grammy® Awards. Meliora was released on August 21, 2015 and debuted at No. 1 at Independent Retail, No. 2 at Rock, and in the Top 10 (#8) on Billboard's Top 200 Album Charts. Ghost are one of just four bands from Sweden to have been in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart (joining Avicii, Ace of Base, and Europe). Papa Emeritus III and his nameless ghouls capped off a landmark 2015 with their late night television debut on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert's Halloween show on CBS with a rousing performance of "Cirice", which reached the Top 5 at radio at Active Rock and Mainstream Rock. Rave reviews for Meliora include Rolling Stone: "Generally speaking, the band has done more to bring blasphemous, religion-skewering devil rock to the mainstream masses than perhaps any act since Marilyn Manson." Entertainment Weekly: "One of the most exciting bands on the worldwide hard rock stage." Metal Injection: "All hail Ghost and its masterwork, Meliora." Noisey: "Ghost is back and cracking skulls."

ANGEL DU$T STREAMS NEW ALBUM
NAMED STEREOGUM'S 'BAND TO WATCH'
ROCK THE F**K ON FOREVER DUE THIS FRIDAY VIA POP WIG RECORDSAngel Du$t by Mel KearnsSTREAM: Rock The F**k On Forever -https://soundcloud.com/user-428171111/sets/angel-du-t-rock-the-fuck-on

PRE-ORDER:  Rock The F**k On Forever  http://popwig.limitedrun.com
With the release of their sophomore album Rock The F**k On Forever via Pop Wig Records set for this Friday, Angel Du$t are back today to share the album in its entirety. In conjunction with the band making the entire releases available for fans to hear a few days early, Stereogum has named Angel Du$t a 'Band To Watch'. Speaking about Angel Du$t and RTFOF, Stereogum's Tom Breihan describes it as "a supercharged blast of an album...that never lets up even when its harmonies are soaring."
The stream and imminent album release come in advance of the band's forthcoming West Coast tour, which kicks off June 3rd in Tijuana, Mexico and will see them travel up to Seattle before closing the run with a performance at Sound and Fury in Los Angeles alongside the likes of American Nightmare, Ceremony, Tony Molina and more.
Check out Rock The F**k On Forever in full above and see below for more Angel Du$t info and all of the band's upcoming tour dates.

What you need to know about Angel Du$t and Rock The F**k On Forever :
Angel Du$t has been a band for like 3 or 5 years or something. Hailing from the city of Baltimore, these guys don't f**k around when it comes to making rock music. Do you like the Lemonheads and the Bad Brains at the same time? Of course you do. This is kind of like that, but with less heroin involved.
Rock The F**k On Forever isn't just the name of their new LP, it's a command. If you want nothing more in life than to rock your stupid ass off, then do yourself a favor and pick this shit up straight from Pop Wig Records. Angel Du$t has other records but this one is way better than the old bullshit. This record was recorded and produced by Will Yip, who did Title Fight, Citizen, Circa Survive and more. I bet he sang on it too or something. He also did the Turnover record that I know you all f**k with. TBH IMHO this shit rocks hard as f**k.Tour Dates

We Are Scientists New Album 'Helter Seltzer' Out June 3rd Via 100% Records

We Are Scientists New Album ‘Helter Seltzer’ Released June 3rd Via 100% RecordsAvailable Now Via ITunes On Tour Now!

Photo: Shervin Lainez
We Are Scientists, the Brooklyn-based pop rock troupe have returned with their fifth album, ‘Helter Seltzer’, released June 3rd via 100% Records (includes limited edition teal-colored vinyl). The album is also available now via iTunes. For ‘Helter Seltzer’ We Are Scientists asked their ex-keyboard player Max Hart to produce. Max had just finished a three-year stint as the keyboardist for international super-mega-person Katy Perry, choosing as his final gig Ms. Perry’s performance at the 2015 Super Bowl. Max rented a studio space in Brooklyn’s DUMBO neighborhood, outfitting it with gear he had accumulated over a decade of obsessive internet shopping. In early March, the team got to work and a direction quickly emerged - they would use the tones and trickery of radio pop and Max’s inside-out familiarity with hits like ‘Teenage Dream’ and ‘Firework’ and ‘Dark Horse’ to add a sweet sheen to the new crop of distinctively We Are Scientists songs. The recordings were shipped to mixer Chris Coady at Sunset Sound in L.A. who has quietly emerged in recent years as one of the finest mixers of glossy indie pop, with credits that include Future Islands, Beach House, and !!!. Finally, the music was passed through the deluxe mastering machine that are the ears of Greg Calbi (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Noel Gallagher, Perfume Genius) to add a coat of heft and sparkle, and in January of 2016, nearly a year after construction began, the album was pronounced complete.  "We've always made overtures toward being a pop band, but we've generally had the inclination to obscure those pop leanings in grit and chaos — to screw them up with fuzzed-out tones and raucous performances," says guitarist and vocalist Keith Murray"It's made us really think about what our musical genre is. We're not punk — we're too interested in making our songs as pretty as possible. We're not straight-up rock — our tastes are too left-of-center. We're not indie-rock — our heads aren't far enough up our own butts. So finally, after putting as much time into thinking about it as we're apt to — about ten minutes, over beers — we decided that our genre is 'Helter Seltzer.'" "Declaring a new genre is obviously douchey as hell, though, and impossible to deliver with a straight face," adds bassist Chris Cain"so we did the noble thing and just made ‘Helter Seltzer’ the album title. It's especially apt for us these days, though. The songs here are more effervescent than we've ever managed to deliver, but they've still maintained a measure of that ‘Helter Skelter’ element — no matter how fizzy and refreshing the tunes are, they've always got a bit of that seamy, scuzzy, 'cult on Spahn Ranch' vibe. We therefore consider this album, as a vessel of both sweet pop tunes and seltzer outreach,” concludes Chris. “To be a work of undisguised philanthropy on our part." Watch the video for 'Buckle'

Vincent Clarke and Paul Hartnoll Announce New Album on Very Records

Vince Clarke:Paul Hartnoll

ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM DETAILS

2SQUARE  TO BE RELEASED ON JUNE 10 2016
ON VERY RECORDSVince Clarke & Paul Hartnoll have today confirmed details of their first album for VeryRecords.

Titled 2Square, the album will be released on June 10, 2016 and will be available as a download only.

Watch the video for “Better Have A Drink To Think”  HERE .

Clarke and Hartnoll have composed and recorded 8 tracks in the style of ‘Home House,’ a new electronic sub-genre which is defined as ‘music you can dance to in the privacy of your own living room.’ Paul Hartnoll (Orbital) recalls how it all came about. “Vince approached me and asked if I wanted to work with him on some tracks he had demoed. I set about adding and fiddling around and then we both spent a week finishing and mixing the record in my Brighton studio. Between us we’ve chalked up more than 50 years of making electronic dance music, we’re both Dads, and it was time to hold out the hand of collaboration and help each other up onto the dance floor to dance as only Dads can.

2Square is an electronic mish-mash of cut-up vocals, infectious house grooves and blippy, distorted synths, a weird union of Orbital Rave and Erasure Pop. From the atmospheric journey of intricate poly rhythms and mournful vocals featured in “The Echoes” to precision machine rhythm underpinning a zany trumpet in “Do-A-Bong,” 2Square is an infectious home house odyssey that will induce toe tapping in all and even inspire some to get off their sofas to dance.

2Square track-listing

1 Better Have A Drink To Think
2 Zombie Blip
3 The Echoes
4 Do-A-Bong
5 The Shortcut
6 Single Function
7 All Out
8 Underwater

Album Release: June 10, 2016

Album pre-order is available now from Itunes
