Skating Polly Announce US Tour with X! "New Trick" EP feat. Nina & Louise from Veruca Salt out April 28th!
Skating Polly Announce US Tour with X Following April 28th Release of New Trick EP featuring Nina Gordon & Louise Post from Veruca Salt
Band Hits the Road with X on May 1st in Albuquerque, NM Before Embarking on a US Headlining Tour on May 11th in Minneapolis, MN
New York, NY – April 24, 2017 – Skating Polly is excited to announce that they will be joining X on tour in early May following the April 28th release of their New Trick EP that features Nina Gordon and Louise Post from Veruca Salt. The EP was produced by Brad Wood (Liz Phair, Sunny Day Real Estate, Smashing Pumpkins) and is the follow-up to 2016’s The Big Fit LP.
Skating Polly, officially a three-piece now as stepsisters Kelli Mayo (17) and Peyton Bighorse (21) are joined full-time by brother Kurtis Mayo (20), first met X’s Exene Cervenka after a show in Oklahoma City in 2010. The punk rock legend was impressed with the girls’ extensive musical knowledge and began to correspond with them via e-mail which eventually led to her producing their second album Lost Wonderfuls in 2013. They’ve remained close ever since and four years and two albums later, Skating Polly are thrilled that they get to spend some time with Exene and X on the road this spring.
The early May tour dates come just a couple of days after Skating Polly releases their brand new EP New Trick that they wrote and recorded with Veruca Salt’s co-front women Nina and Louise. The band released news of the EP on March 22nd with the help of NPRwho featured the first song and video for “Hail Mary” on All Songs TV and described their music as “…songs that veer between sweet and catchy and full-throated screams with distorted, chug-a-lug guitar.” Stereogum picked up the clip, adding “‘Hail Mary’ has some of the grand, large-scale fuzzy melodicism that’s largely gone extinct from the ’90s. It’s a very cool song, and it has a very cool and arty video from director Dave Smith.”
Just last week Skating Polly dropped another song and video from the New Trick EP whenUPROXX premiered the clip for “ Louder In Outer Space ” along with an interview commenting “…their wide-ranging listening habits allow them to synthesize many sounds into their music, giving them an incredible breadth of sounds, both sonically and lyrically.”
New Trick is due out April 28th via El Camino Records and confirmed spring and summer tour dates are below. For the most up-to-date information please checkwww.skatingpolly.com.

UK TOUR JUNE 2017

www.kraftwerk.com www.facebook.com/KraftwerkOfficial https://twitter.com/kraftwerk
Released to coincide with Kraftwerk’s forthcoming June 2017 tour - their first UK dates since the breathtaking shows witnessed at the Tate Modern in 2013 - Parlophone are proud to announce the release of Kraftwerk 3-D The Catalogueon May 26th. This is the ground-breaking 3-D Kraftwerk Concert brought thrillingly to life developed using high definition 3-D with Dolby Atmos surround sound and presented to the technological and audio standards one would associate and indeed come to expect from the pioneering Germans led by founder Ralf Hütter. For the very first time, every Kraftwerk fan can now experience a "Gesamtkunstwerk – a total work of art” in the comfort of their own home. Kraftwerk 3-D The Catalogue is released across a number of formats including: Blu-Ray, DVD, Vinyl, CD and Download.
Kraftwerk 3-D The Catalogue is a 3-D audio/video documentary of the Kraftwerk 3-D multi-media art performances in the leading museums of the world. It features 8 classic Kraftwerk albums in chronological order: Autobahn (1974), Radio-Activity (1975), Trans Europe Express (1977), The Man-Machine (1978), Computer World (1981), Techno Pop (1986), The Mix (1991) & Tour De France (2003) - filmed and recorded between 2012 and 2016 on the band’s 3-D World Tour. The locations include MoMA (New York), The Tate Modern Turbine Hall (London), Akasaka Blitz (Tokyo), Opera House (Sydney), Norske Opera (Oslo), Paradiso (Amsterdam), Fondation Louis Vuitton (Paris) and Neue National Galerie (Berlin). These 3-D multi-media performances have been met with universal acclaim from both music critics and art/culture curators, rightfully recognised as complete works of audio-visual art.
Full details of each release and format are included in the Kraftwerk 3-D The Catalogue Product Sheet, and there are some very special physical editions to look out for:* The Deluxe Blu-Ray/Book edition combines 4 x Blu-Ray discs and a stunning 236-page hardback art-book containing computer generated images from the 3-D multi-media performances alongside a selection of visually stunning unseen photos.
* The Deluxe Vinyl Box Set has all 8 albums across 9 pieces of vinyl (The Mix being double vinyl) recorded across the world and then mixed exclusively by Kraftwerk at their state of the art Kling Klang Studios in Düsseldorf, Germany. The sound quality is peerless; every bleep, synth beat and nuance can be heard with a crystalline clarity.
The multi-media project Kraftwerk was started in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider. They set up their electronic Kling Klang Studio in Düsseldorf, where they conceived and produced all Kraftwerk albums. By the mid 1970’s Kraftwerk had achieved international recognition for their revolutionary electronic soundscapes and their musical experimentation with robotics and other technical innovations. With their visions of the future, Kraftwerk created the soundtrack for the digital age of the 21st century.
Their compositions, using innovative techniques, synthetic voices and computerised rhythms, have had a major international influence across an entire range of music genres and musicians: from Electro to Hip Hop, from Techno to Synth Pop, from Drum & Bass to Rock, from Industrial to Kosmische Musik, from Pop to Ambient, from station to station and back to Düsseldorf City.
In 2014 Kraftwerk founder Ralf Hütter was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys.
For their live performances, Kraftwerk – Ralf Hütter, Henning Schmitz, Fritz Hilpert, Falk Grieffenhagen – illustrate their belief in the respective contributions of both man and machine.
Kraftwerk return to the UK & Ireland in June 2017 for a seventeen-date run of their universally acclaimed 3-D live show. This is Kraftwerk’s biggest tour of the UK & Ireland in 25 years.

Ahead of the release of their new album The Weather, POND have unveiled the spaced-out visuals for their brand new single "Paint Me Silver." In truly subversive POND style, the Alejandro Miguel Justino Crawford directed animated clip finds an intergalactic dance party erupting across Earth, despite an impending threat of nuclear war. The video accompanies one of The Weather's biggest pop moments, with falsetto vocals colliding with swirling synths and surf rock guitars.

SKOTT RELEASES STUNNING ACOUSTIC VERSION OF "GLITTER & GLOSS" TODAY

CONFIRMED TO APPEAR AT WAYHOME AND LOLLAPALOOZA FESTIVALS THIS SUMMER

iTunes | Apple Music | Spotify | Amazon Music | Google Play
NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES
07/30 – Wayhome Music & Arts Festival – Oro Medonte, ON
08/4 – Lollapalooza Festival – Chicago, IL
Enigmatic Swedish songstress Skott today unveils a stripped back, acoustic version of her single, “Glitter & Gloss,” which Idolator hailed as both “ethereal and evocative.” In this acoustic version, Skott’s vocals shine through over minimal guitar, peeling back another layer and showcasing yet another element of her seemingly boundless talent. The acoustic version of “Glitter & Gloss” is available everywhere today via Sony Music Entertainment UK/RCA Records. Listen to it HERE .
After dazzling crowds in Austin (SXSW), LA and New York with her big voice and captivating live performance, Skott looks to up the ante, returning to North America later this summer with two confirmed festival appearances, first at Wayhome in Ontario (tickets), then at Lollapalooza in Chicago (tickets). For a list of all Skott’s live dates, please visit www.facebook.com/skottmusic
Earlier this year, Skott released her first ever music video for “Glitter & Gloss”— directed by Zhang + Knight. The video was beautifully shot over two days in Ukraine. Watch it HERE . As her first release of 2017, “Glitter & Gloss” follows previous singles, “Lack of Emotion,” “Amelia,” “Wolf” and her stunning debut single from last summer, “Porcelain,” which snagged a coveted slot on the official FIFA 17 soundtrack.
Skott spent her early years in a remote forest community run by a collection of outcast folk musicians. Together they built a small but supportive network, quite far from the nearest populated city. There, surrounded by nature she thrived, learning to appreciate life without all the distractions associated with living in a city. Largely sequestered from contemporary pop culture, it wasn’t until Skott ventured into the city during her mid-teens that she listened to contemporary music for the first time.
Since making her debut last year, Skott has been steadily racking up support online, topping Hype Machine’s ‘Most Blogged’ chart numerous times, with her songs popping up on several Spotify ‘New Music Friday’ playlists and massive radio support from the likes of Annie Mac (Radio 1), Zane Lowe (Beats1) and KCRW (Jason Kramer). Described as “mesmerizing” by The FADER, “menacing and magical” by Noisey and "definitely worth paying attention to” by Pigeons & Planes, Skott has even received high profile endorsements on Twitter from both Katy Perry and Lorde. Most recently VEVO dscvr included the Swedish singer in their ‘Ones to Watch 2017’ list. Check out an exclusive live performance of “Porcelain” HERE. There’s no question that Skott is one to watch in 2017.
The acoustic version of “Glitter & Gloss” is available to download and stream on all digital platforms via Sony Music Entertainment UK/RCA Records.
