Alvvays Announce New Album 'Antisocialites' out 9/8, Listen to "In Undertow" Now, US Tour Dates
ALVVAYS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM ANTISOCIALITES
OUT SEPTEMBER 8th ON POLYVINYL RECORDS
LISTEN TO "IN UNDERTOW" NOW
US TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

Alvvays is due to release its second full-length, Antisocialites, this September on Polyvinyl. The album is the much-anticipated follow-up to their critically acclaimed debut album which received accolades from Pitchfork, NPR, Rolling Stone and more. Across its 10 tracks and 33 minutes the Toronto-based group dive back into the deep-end of reckless romance and altered dates. Ice cream truck jangle collides with prismatic noise pop while Molly Rankin's wit is refracted through crystalline surf counterpoint. Through thoughtful consideration in basement and abroad, Alvvays has renewed its Scot-pop vows with a powerful new collection of manic emotional collage.
After posting a cryptic cartoon for fans last week, the group today released the excellent strum-n-thrummer "In Undertow," a breakup fantasy that is both crushing and charming for its level-headedness. "You find a wave and try to hold on for as long as you can, you made a mistake you'd like to erase and I understand," sings Rankin, her voice full longing, not for another person necessarily, but for what to do next."Meditate, play solitaire, take up self-defense," Molly continues, laundry-listing some strategies for moving on. "What's next for you and me? I'll take suggestions," she deadpans under crashing waves of Farfisa and feedback.
"This record is a fantasy breakup arc and my life nearly imitated art." - Molly Rankin.
The band will be embarking this summer on an extensive world tour. All dates can be found below.
Antisocialites is out September 8th and be pre-ordered here.

THE BEAUTIFUL STORIES
OUT JUNE 9 VIA DINE ALONE RECORDS
“…a rhythmically charged rock album with verses that swagger and sway and choruses that tips over into punk-rock intensity.”
-- Stereogum

INVSN is a fierce five-piece from Sweden that is making their mark again on the US this fall!
An act not worth missing - INSVN brings the bang to any show they play.
“… the bursts of noise and bits of electronica provided by the band give INVSN a punchy edge that keeps us from becoming too comfortable.”– Pop Matters
The Beautiful Stories is a creative construction between five musically seasoned Swedes, notably the duo of frontman Dennis Lyxzén (Refused and (International) Noise Conspiracy) and longtime collaborator Sara Almgren ((International) Noise Conspiracy). Other members of the band contribute solid musical attributes. The propulsive percussion and the literal synesthesia produced from additional vocals and experimental keyboards are done so by members Anders Stenberg, Andre Sandström and Christina Karlsson.
The electronica meets punk aspect of The Beautiful Stories is welcomed in the West. Giving listeners a New Order feel, INVSN has toured with notable bands that exercise their right to include electronics in their range of sounds. On bills with bands like Echo and the Bunnyman has helped affirm their aspirations to explore electronica, while touring with bands like Minus the Bear and Against Me! help contribute to their post-punk credentials. The Beautiful Stories continues the on the “avant-garde path” forged by these folks, highlighting political strife and struggles of the everyday person.INVSN has always had a political message, but few other songwriters have the ability to add additional dimensions of existential struggle and soul-searching like Dennis Lyxzén. In our time, when many moral and deeply humanistic values are being challenged by right-wing movements all over the world, INVSN is a necessary outcry from a counter-culture that has far from given up.

Masterful indie folk-pop trio Moonrise Nation will release their debut album,Glamour Child, July 28 on Zinc Records, a label formed by Bobby Z of Prince’s band, The Revolution. Hailing from Oak Park, Illinois, songwriting and vocal duties are equally shared between guitarist Emma McCall, keyboardist Arden Baldinger, and cellist Eva Baldinger the latter two of which are sisters. Their storytelling is crafted from a very personal place, deftly sculpted into a layered, universal experience. Produced by Stephen Shirk (Alabama Shakes, Delta Spirit), the album captures the vertiginous, Millennial high-lows of self-confidence and doubt, happiness and practicality, innocence and reality, feminist strength and vulnerability.
Introspective beyond their years, title track " Glamour Child " draws from a high school romance experience during which the perception of male vs female vanity and narcissism were pitted against each other. This idea is underlined by a piece of art created by Arden and Eva’s grandmother, which they used for the album cover. “The woman that is in the center of the piece represents the glamour and flawless nature of most portrayals of women in media,” Arden explains, “while the raised colorful foam and paper edges around her represent the beautiful imperfections that we all have.”
The band will hit the road this summer, serving up their unique, dynamic mix of swoony delicacy and anthemic pop peaks to audiences across the country. Be sure to catch Moonrise Nation live in a city near you and stay tuned for more news on their forthcoming album Glamour Child coming soon. Full list of dates HERE or see below.

Dan Auerbach’s New Album Waiting On A Song Out Now Via Easy Eye Sound
DAN AUERBACH’S NEW ALBUM WAITING ON A SONG, OUT NOW VIA EASY EYE SOUND
THREE SONG PERFORMANCE AND INTERVIEW ON CBS THIS MORNING: SATURDAY
TOUR DATES WITH JOHN PRINE CONFIRMED
“…the end result is ultimately a testament to the great paradox of songwriting: it takes a lot of heavy lifting to make something that sounds so effortless.”
-Pitchfork
“It’s a ‘Nashville Sound’ the town could use more of.”
– Rolling Stone
“… immaculate, indelible pop.”
– NPR
Nine-time GRAMMY®–winner Dan Auerbach’s new solo album, Waiting On A Song, which NPR Music calls “a batch of sparkling pop songs that's sweet, breezy, and primed for summer,” is out now on Easy Eye Sound, and you can listen to it here.

This weekend, Dan Auerbach appeared on CBS This Morning: Saturday for an in-depth interview with host Anthony Masonabout his new album, Waiting On A Song, from which he played three songs, “Shine On Me,” “Waiting On A Song,” and “Never In My Wildest Dreams.” Watch the interview and performance here.
Waiting On A Song is Auerbach’s follow-up to 2009’s Keep It Hid and is his love letter to Nashville. As such, he recruited some of Nashville’s most respected players to write and record his latest, including John Prine, Duane Eddy, Jerry Douglas, Russ Pahl, Pat McLaughlin as well as Bobby Wood and Gene Chrisman of the Memphis Boys. Auerbach said about working with his musical heroes: “Living in Nashville has definitely changed the way I think about music and the way that I record it. I didn’t have all of these resources before. I am working with some of the greatest musicians that ever lived.”
Recently, Dan Auerbach premiered his music video for “Waiting on A Song” via Rolling Stone. Auerbach also appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to perform the songs “Shine On Me” and “King Of A One Horse Town”. Additionally, NPR Music premiered the video for Waiting On A Song’s first single,“Shine on Me”. Auerbach also shared the music video for “King of a One Horse Town” via Pitchfork.
Dan Auerbach will open for John Prine, with whom he wrote the title track off Waiting On A Song, in September and November in Charleston, Charlotte, Washington D.C., and Richmond. Tickets are on sale now and are available here.
Dan Auerbach moved to Nashville from his native Akron, Ohio in 2010 and with this release, his first solo album in eight years, it is clear that he has made Music City his home. During the summer of 2016, taking a break from the non-stop touring he’d done with The Black Keys and the Arcs, he finally got acquainted with the city he loves so much, as well as the world-class musicians who live there, and subsequently collaborated with some of Nashville’s heavyweights. Of the process he reveals, “They’d come over, and we’d be in a little room in my house with the door closed, and we’d just write. Monday through Wednesday we’d write, and then Thursday through Sunday we’d record, every week.” Mark Knopfler’s immediately identifiable guitar elevates “Shine on Me,” a song NPR calls a “masterpiece of clap-along power-pop perfectly calibrated for cars with the windows rolled down,” into an anthem, and John Prine co-wrote the album’s title track. Iconic guitarist Duane Eddy is featured on “Livin’ in Sin” and the cinematic “King of a One Horse Town.”

Waiting On A Song is the debut release, and marks the launch of Easy Eye Sound, Dan Auerbach’s new record label which will feature soon-to-be-announced releases from other artists and is distributed by Auerbach's longtime label Nonesuch Records. The label is built equally around Auerbach’s Easy Eye Studio in Nashville, where The Black Keys recorded their last two albums, as well as the collection of famous session musicians that have come to call the studio home. Auerbach says, “Sometimes I feel I created my own Field of Dreams. I built the studio because I knew something was going to happen. I built it to accommodate live musicians playing, and then all of a sudden the best musicians in Nashville show up, and it’s happening.”
