FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - July 14, 2017 - In an unprecedented partnershipValerie June and Viacom channels CMT Music, BET Centric, BET Soul, MTV Live and MTVU have teamed to debut the music video for "Got Soul," the latest single from June's critically acclaimed album, The Order of Time.  The video launches with multiple airings across the platforms today. Rolling Stone included The Order of Time on their recent '50 Best Albums of 2017 So Far' list and proclaimed the album is "near-perfect from front to back." NPR called the album "a marvel of mindfulness," The Guardian raved, "bursting with standouts," and MOJO declared the album "beautiful and tempting."
The "Got Soul" music video, directed by noted New York photographer Jacob Blickenstaff beautifully captures June performing in a variety of settings interspersed with childhood photos showcasing the rising star's sparkling energy and openhearted nature. The video also incorporates vintage footage captured by Mary Burns from June's first ever live solo performance in Memphis, TN. "The 'Got Soul' video is my journey through genre and song. July 14, 2017 (Burbank, CA) - Echosmith has released their long-awaited new single "Goodbye," out today at all digital retailers. Opening with a finger-picked acoustic guitar entwined with frontwoman Sydney Sierota's breathy vocal, the song expresses frustration with a partner's indecisiveness, building into a danceable refrain colored by island-style keys and heavy bass as she finds the courage to finally say "Goodbye." Echosmith has also released the song's official video.

"Goodbye" is the first release off their highly-anticipated sophomore album, Inside A Dream, out September 29 via Warner Bros. Records. The 11-track set marks the long-awaited follow-up to the band's 2013 Gold-certified debut, Talking Dreams, which spawned the triple-platinum breakout hit "Cool Kids." Following the release, Echosmith will embark on a 6-week North American headline tour. See a full list of dates below.
Inside A Dream marks a new and exciting direction for the LA-based alt-pop trio, showcasing a more mature and evolved sound. Led by charismatic frontwoman Sydney Sierota and rounded out by her brothers Noah (bass) and Graham (drums), the tight-knit siblings had to come to grips with the departure of big brother and guitar player Jamie, who chose to leave the band after the last album in order to spend more time with his wife and son. "We had to find ourselves as a trio instead of a quartet," admits Noah.  Sydney explains, "That literally forced us on a journey of having to discover this sound. We still had electric guitars, but they weren't the center of the music anymore." In order to bring that vision to life, the group utilized vintage synths, keys, and drum machines. As a result,Inside A Dream is awash in shimmering synths, airy guitars, and heavenly vocals that wouldn't be out of place blasting from an eighties transistor radio during an episode of Stranger Things.
Echosmith first emerged onto the scene in 2013 with their debut album Talking Dreams.  The (Gold-certified) album produced the triple-platinum hit "Cool Kids," and platinum-certified "Bright."  The band quickly earned rave reviews from the likes of ELLE, Rolling Stone, Teen Vogue, Billboard, NYLON,and more for their distinctive melody-minded, New Wave-influenced sound. Los Angeles, CA - July 14, 2017 - LA rock quartet Together Pangea today released "Money On It", the second track off their forthcoming new album Bulls and Roosters, due out August 25th via Nettwerk. Consequence of Sound premiered the song a day ahead of its release, praising, "The rich vibes mixed with scratchy vocals show more of the continued evolution the band has been undergoing." Co-produced by Together Pangea and longtime collaborator Andrew Schubert, and mixed by Chris Coady (TV On The Radio, Beach House, The Black Lips), Bulls and Roosters was recorded to two-inch tape at Golden Beat studios in Los Angeles and showcases a more matured sound than prior efforts. Stereogum broke news of the release of Bulls and Roosters last month and premiered a music video for the album's infectious lead single "Better Find Out". Directed by Steele O'Neal, the video can be seen HERE.


"It's important to never make the same album twice... if there's any concerted effort from us, that's it. We wanted to try new things and experiment with making music that wasn't so aggressive or fast," said singer/guitarist William Keegan. "Rather than worrying about any expectations, we were like,'Fuck all that. Let's be as honest as we can possibly be.' Sure it's growth, but there's still a brattiness to it."
This September, Together Pangea will embark on the Bulls and Roosters Tour in support of the album. The tour's North American Leg will kick off on September 14th in San Diego, CA and wrap on October 22nd in Santa Cruz, CA, and feature support from Tall Juan and Daddy Issues. Black Kids have released a new hook-laden single, “If My Heart Is Broken” today via BlackBook . Additionally, Playboy has premiered the lyric video. The track appears on their sophomore album,  Rookie , out September 15. The album was recorded and co-produced by Andy LeMaster at Chase Park Transduction.

Singer Reggie Youngblood explains the inspiration behind “If My Heart is Broken” to BlackBook: “This song is the closest thing I have to a regrettable tattoo, cos when I hear it, I’m reminded that it came about when I legit thought I could move to Nashville and write country songs for Rayna James. I mean, I told everyone I was going to. AND THEN someone told me she’s a fictional character… No “ifs” about it, I was def heartbroken—it would’ve made a great fake country song for a fake country artist.”

After taking an almost decade long hiatus before the release of their sophomore album, “Much like Odysseus and Co., on our journey to make the ‘difficult second album,’ shit got rough,” Youngblood says. “A few of us heeded the siren call of ‘side projects.’ Tumultuous relationships and periods of Imposter Syndrome also impeded progress. Worst of all, I couldn’t write a chorus. And for a band that worships The Chorus, this was problematic.”

Nicole Atkins has shared her new album, Goodnight Rhonda Lee, today via NPR’s First Listen. The album,  Goodnight Rhonda Lee , will be coming out on July 21 on Single Lock Records. The album was recorded with Fort Worth, TX's Nile City Sound, a.k.a. producers Austin Jenkins, Josh Block, and Chris Vivion (Leon Bridges), with additional mixing by Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes).
A vintage soul album inspired legendary artists like Dusty Springfield, Candi Staton, Loretta Lynn and Janis Joplin,  GOODNIGHT RHONDA LEE,   first heralded last November with the release of "A Little Crazy," co-written with Chris Isaak. - Buzzbands LALA-based, Nordic indie pop artist Majken announces her debut album, Dancing Mountains, due out August 2017. Today, Majken shares her second single and video, "Corner of 69" via  The Line Of Best Fit , who state, "Her deadpan delivery of the invitation to "have some fun, run these lights" creates a remove that skews the surface-level carefree attitude of the song into something potentially sinister and strange, like the soundtrack to an imaginary David Lynch surf film."

Last month,  The 405  premiered her lead single and video, "Fainted Love," and called her an "ethereal pop singer" with a "powerful single" and "long-standing track that will soon be on her debut album." The LP was produced by Jesse Nolan in LA (Caught a Ghost) and Maxime Sokolinski in Paris (Hologram, Sweaters, Soko). The forthcoming album follows her debut EP, Deronda Hotel, and features five remastered versions of previous EP tracks, in addition to the unheard material.

Majken wrote and recorded Dancing Mountains on a journey between gritty Los Angeles, romantic Paris and the simple, laid back feel of the Nordic Fjord, where she spent her childhood. Influenced by experimental rock legends such as The Velvet Underground and the sensibilities of master songwriters like Leonard Cohen, Majken creates experimental pop with accessible themes and song structure. Her collection of dreamy songs contain raw, emotive lyrics, cushioned by indie beach rock and a vintage Europop vibe. She's inspired by wild nature, breakfast in bed, the various cities she's visited and called home and the people in those places.

Dancing Mountains reflects on vivid dreams, fond memories and restless nights. Majken's sultry vocal melodies, intoxicating layers of sound and surf rock guitar come together to create an ideal soundtrack for a summer daydream. Album track "Everything's Wild" encapsulates this feeling, inspired by floating wild in a bizarre dream state - not alive and not awake. "A Little More Time," produced by Cody Crump, is about a hazy heartbreak while "Fainted Love" reflects on a summer fling, through rose colored glasses and introspection.
