Nicole Atkins has shared her new album, Goodnight Rhonda Lee, today via NPR’s First Listen. The album, Goodnight Rhonda Lee , will be coming out on July 21 on Single Lock Records. Pre-order Goodnight Rhonda Lee here. The album was recorded with Fort Worth, TX's Nile City Sound, a.k.a. producers Austin Jenkins, Josh Block, and Chris Vivion (Leon Bridges), with additional mixing by Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes).
A vintage soul album inspired legendary artists like Dusty Springfield, Candi Staton, Loretta Lynn and Janis Joplin, GOODNIGHT RHONDA LEE, first heralded last November with the release of "A Little Crazy," co-written with Chris Isaak. In addition, Atkins's stellar live performance of "A Little Crazy" was an undisputed highlight of Oscar® winner Cameron Crowe's 2016 Showtime series, Roadies.
