The news arrives alongside the first single to emerge from the album, “Remember To Breathe”, which is accompanied by a video shot by photographers/filmmakers The Fashtons (Aluna George, Maya Jane Coles, Django Django)—watchhere and stream here.The collaborative effort to create the video for “Remember To Breathe” reflects Guinness’s shift to the Daphne & The Golden Chord alias, having released her acclaimed 2016 debut album under her own name. The kaleidoscopic visuals also feature Visconti himself, who brings the video to a surreal close in a sequence that captures him performing Tai Chi inside Daphne’s head. Speaking about the track—which bolts Visconti’s trademark strings to rumbles of timpani and an unmistakably glam stomp—Daphne says; “This song and video represent my spontaneous celebration of the joy of life. I have collaborated on this with people who feel the same, who ‘get it.’” The Fashtons’ Fiona Garden says of the video; “We aimed to visually capture the joy and buoyancy of the song, and Daphne’s vibrant energy. In keeping with the analogue approach to recording, we incorporated tactile effects—the glitter hands, the exploding glitter cannons—we will be hoovering up glitter in our studio for years to come!”“It’s A Riot” finds Guinness continuing the partnership she established with Bowie’s right hand man when Visconti came onboard to produce her well-received 2016 debut, Optimist In Black, itself informed in part by the loss of her two close friends, Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow, to suicide.Daphne and Visconti made the album at New York’s Avatar Studios, where recording took a deeply surreal turn when David Bowie appeared at the studio. His approval of the snippets he heard further mesmerized Daphne. Says of Visconti of his partnership with Daphne; “I took an instant liking to her—she played a demo of her track ‘Evening In Space’ and that blew my mind. Based on that one song I wanted to work with her.”Prior to the release of Optimist In Black, Guinness was familiar to many from various creative collaborations and her close friendships with both McQueen and Blow, alongside well-respected ventures in film, co-producing the Oscar-nominated Cashback, alongside a role in The Murder of Jean Seberg. For those wondering what Guinness' reason for making records is, a better question might be why she waited so long. Having trained as a classical singer and later offered a place at London’s prestigious Guildhall School, a young Daphne always looked set to pursue a career in music, before life had other plans. And whilst the breezy insouciance of It’s A Riot finds Daphne some distance from the strictures of her traditional training, for the former Bowie and Bolan-obsessed teenager, she’s now found her true métier. New super pairing of veteran electronic producer Miguel López Mora and Placebo’s Stefan Olsdal unleash a new video for their forthcoming single ‘Who Are All Of You’ featuring the vocal talents of Kompakt Recordings artist Julienne Dessange.
Miguel details the video: “The video was filmed in Berlin, UK, Spain and Portugal. I went to Berlin to film Julienne a couple of months ago. I filmed her during 3 days in Berlin. And I filmed Stefan in our May tour (Lisbon and Porto in Portugal). Julienne Dessagne is French but she lives in Berlin where she has her band with Sascha Funke. Their band is called Saschienne (Kompakt records). Their song "Unknown" made us think of her as the singer of two songs of our album: "Who are all of you" and "Toi et moi" (in french).”
Already acclaimed in their own right with their own projects, the album was the result of a burgeoning friendship within the fringe music scene in Madrid, revealing the multi-facetted duo in perfect union and brought about the birth of D I G I T A L 2 1 + S T E F A N O L S D A L.
With strings recorded in the legendary RAK studios in London, the tracks developed first as instrumentals, then evolving into songs with the addition of female vocalists, and the album features the singers Cuushe (Japan), Margrét Rán from Vök (Iceland), Helen Feng from Nova Heart (China) and Julienne from Saschienne (France / Germany).
After a couple of singles, the debut album, ‘Inside’, is now ready for release on limited edition, white-coloured vinyl, CD and digitally, via Kobalt Music Recordings in November 2017.

The band says, "'Son of a Lady' is a song we wrote and recorded some time ago and rediscovered it recently by chance. We worked with this really great upright bass player Damon Anderson who we'd never worked with before and I believe it was the first time he'd ever played his bass over a cello part. He was really inspired by Ji-Young Moon's exquisite playing. It's a strange and lovely one; just the way we like it."

New York, NY (September 18, 2017) – Party God Andrew W.K. is thrilled to announce his first new full length album in over a decade. The LP showcases Andrew's signature style of blasting triumphant rock music, with an ever more epic expanses of energizing emotional ecstasy. "I'm going for the sound of pure, unadulterated power; every emotion, every thought, every experience, every sensation, every fear, every joy, every clarity, every confusion, every up, every down... all extruded and concentrated into one thick syrup of super life-force feeling, and then psychically amplified by the celebratory spirit of glorious partying," explans Andrew. The new release is out March 2, 2018 via Sony Music worldwide. Album title and cover art to follow.
This week, Andrew W.K. officially begins his first full-band concert outing in five years with “The Party Never Dies Tour”. Starting tonight in Minneapolis, Andrew brings his party-centric positivity across America, with additional shows added due to high demand in San Francisco and Boston as well as a new Chicago headlining show (following the success of their stage-closing Riot Fest performance just last night). The previously announced UK tour dates are now moving from November to April, 2018. All tickets bought for the November tour will still be honored at the new dates, or can be refunded at the point of purchase. A full list of all dates can be found below.
A one-man music machine possessed by a single-minded, monomaniacal focus on euphoric joy, Andrew lives to spread a singular message: That to party is to exist, and to exist is to party. Andrew continues to passionately deliver his extremely high-energy brand of uplifting entertainment, with a unrelenting commitment to continuing the mission he first embarked upon in 2001, with the release of his debut single and signature tune “Party Hard”, and has never swerved from since. Despite taking on a dizzying array of additional roles that took him into virgin territory for a rock ’n’ roll musician (ie: advice columnist for the Village Voice and Vice, host of a Cartoon Network kid's game show, lecturer at Yale, Harvard, Carnegie Mellon and the UK’s Oxford University), Andrew has always remained true to his positive-partying cause. New York, NY (September 5, 2017) – Warbly Jets are an LA quartet that don't fit comfortably into a scene… they exist into out in the ether, caught somewhere between yesterday and today, where massive rock melodies brush up against skittish breakbeats and laser-guided synth lines. The band' self-titled debut will release on October 20 and after teasing three singles from the album, now they've released the maniacal "Shapeshifter".
The track was inspired by the Cronenberg science fiction/horror flick Videodrome and is an aggressive anthem equivalent to brushing your teeth with a belt sander.
"We wanted something incredibly aggressive to polarize the songs that were ending up more strings-centric,” says Julien O’Neill (synths/guitar). "I put it all together in a damp, dripping space on Hollywood and Vine and Sam concocted a vicious noise solo on synth that brought it all home."
"The key changes make you feel like you're trying to walk a tight rope after getting spun around on an merry go round,” add vocalist Samuel Shea. "To me the lyrics have always been about and inevitable force throwing a personal equilibrium out of balance."
