DIANE COFFEE NEW SONGS and TOUR DATES

Peel
Polyvinyl Record Co.
20 October 2017
Even before he released a note of music as Diane Coffee, Shaun Fleming had put together quite a portfolio of work. Check out his IMDB page and youll find 20+ acting credits as a result of a childhood spent lending his voice talents to Disney. Search YouTube and youll find videos from his years as a semi-professional skateboarder. And if youre familiar with Foxygen, youll know that he was the drummer from the bands inception before recently departing to put his full-time focus and energy into Diane Coffee.Often described as psychedelic Motown, Flemings music has caught the attention of Run the Jewels (who sampled Diane Coffee on RTJ2) and NPR, where he performed a Tiny Desk Concert that gave the whole world a preview of his theatrical approach to performing. All things considered, it looks as though Flemings decision to step out from behind the kit and place himself center stage is what will ultimately be the highlight of an already impressive resume.Peel features two new and exclusive tracks.

Photo: Marcus HaneyLos Angeles's Lo Moon have today premiered a brilliant video for current single"This Is It" via NPR Music's All Songs TV. Click HERE to watch it.
Acclaimed radio programmer Bruce Warren from WXPN, said about the video: "They are a band that seemed to come out of nowhere, yet since January of this year, Lo Moon have been steadily peeling back the layers of their mysterious musical adventure. What's been revealed to date is a neo-classic sound with cascading keyboard textures, rhythmic crescendos, shimmering guitars and cinematic lift. Lo Moon do intimacy extremely well, and it is well represented in the video for 'This Is It.' Shot in black and white, it features the band close up and personal. It captures the energy and interplay of the foursome during their live shows, as if you were on stage right in the center of the action."
Lo Moon were recently announced as one of three very special artists to pioneer the new Slingshot program by NPR Music and VuHaus. Slingshot is a new collective effort among tastemaking public radio music stations to discover and elevate the most promising up-and-coming artists. Program directors from VuHaus' public radio music station network selected Lo Moon - as well as Big Thief and Jamila Woods - as the inaugural class of Slingshot artists participating in signature studio sessions and live events across the country.
Lo Moon will also be returning to the road through the end of the year, with headline shows at Rough Trade in Brooklyn and the Troubadour in Los Angeles, as well as opening for the likes of Phoenix and London Grammar. All tour dates are below.
Lo Moon are a Los Angeles-based band - comprised of Matt Lowell (vocals/guitar),Crisanta Baker (bass/keyboards), and Sam Stewart (guitar) - whose sound meets at the intersection of artists like the xx and Talk Talk among others. The trio have received early accolades from The New York Times , NPR Music , V Magazine , KCRW , T he Los Angeles Times , and more. Having opened for the likes of Phoenix, Glass Animals, The Lemon Twigs, Air, London Grammar, and others, Lo Moon are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album with producers Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie) and Francois Tetaz (Gotye).

Since beginning his recording career in 1997, he has released 12 albums, his most recent being Are You Serious(2016), of which NPR proclaimed, “[Bird’s] writing keeps sounding warmer, sweeter, more thoughtful and approachable, while continuing to land lines that stick with you for days.”

The Bronx Perform At Paste Music & Daytrotter
THE BRONX PERFORM ON PASTE MUSIC & DAYTROTTER GROUP CHARTS THEIR HIGHEST DEBUT WITH NEW ALBUM "V"

SEE THE PERFORMANCE AT PASTE STUDIOS IN NYC
"The hooks are huge, the choruses are buzzy and addictive, and to be honest, it's an album that more or less can be started at any song. The replay value is way high and it just rolls on and on with its cynicism and aggressive outtake on life."- PunkNews.org"Another crushing bit of hardcore: featuring aggressively dissonant riffs, slamming drums, and the caustic vocal delivery of Matt Caughthran." - Andy Lindquist (MXDWN)"'V' is everything you know and love about The Bronx. It's big, it's aggressive, and at any moment it could smack you in the face." - Alex Bradley (DORK)"The album broils with a hardcore punk energy laced with fervent infectiousness."
- Alt Dialogue
Los Angeles, October 5, 2017 - Today, The Bronx, a Los Angeles-based punk band, performed an intimate acoustic set at the Paste Studios in NYC for Paste Music & Daytrotter. The band played "Side Effects", "Two Birds", and their most recently recorded "Kingsize", all of which are tracks from their new album V, which was released on September 22nd through ATO Records (Alabama Shakes, King Gizzard). In a time when album sales are falling off drastically as streaming grows, this album sold 3,347 copies upon debut, surpassing their previous album, which came out in 2013 with a strong debut sale of 3,085 units.V's chart impact was equally strong, seeing The Bronx achieve the highest Billboard Chart numbers in their history; the punk rock band slammed into the Billboard Top 200 at #62, at #5 on Billboard's selective Heatseekers list, and #27 on the Rock Albums list. The new record, produced by Rob Schnapf, includes the singles "Two Birds" and "Sore Throat". According to guitarist Joby J. Ford, "[The album] has the angst and social commentary that has characterized us from the beginning, only now the angst is aimed at more than just superficial things and the social commentary is directed at more than just people who like different music than us."The Bronx is what punk needs: they harness the genre's classic fire but then bend it to their whim, forging rock n' roll swagger together with hardcore grit. The Bronx eschews Hollywood hipster snobbery, but they're too clever for the Sunset Strip. They tap into Los Angeles without overexposing it, utilizing and respecting the city for its art and history. Originally forming in 2002, the band has gone through a variety of iterations, including the esteemed Mariachi El Bronx, but no matter what, they stay true to their evolution of hardcore punk, which is up for prominent display in the new album V.The band is currently on tour in the U.S. and will continue on to Australia later this month. For more information on The Bronx, visitthebronxxx.com.For concert tickets, click here.Listen/Buy the new album 'V' here.Watch the videos for "Two Birds" and "Sore Throat".TOUR DATES:FRI 10/6 - First Unitarian Church, Philadelphia, PA, USSAT 10/7 - House of Independents, Asbury Park, NJ, USSUN 10/8 - Brooklyn Bazaar, Brooklyn, NY, USTUE 10/10 - El Club, Detroit, MI, USWED 10/11 - Subterranean, Chicago, IL, USTHU 10/12 - The Riot Room, Kansas City, MO, USSAT 10/14 - Globe Hall, Denver, CO, USSUN 10/15 - Globe Hall, Denver, CO, USTUE 10/17 - Urban Lounge, Salt Lake City, UT, USWED 10/18 - The Bunkhouse Saloon, Las Vegas, NV, USTHU 10/19 - The Casbah, San Diego, CA, USTHU 10/26 - Corner Hotel, Melbourne, VIC, AustraliaFRI 10/27 - Forum Theatre, Melbourne, VIC, AustraliaSAT 10/28 - Eatons Hill Hotel & Function Centre, Brisbane, QLD, AustraliaSUN 10/29 - Enmore Theatre, Newtown, NSW, AustraliaMON 10/30 - Oxford Art Factory, Darlinghurst, NSW, AustraliaTUE 10/31 - Panthers, Newcastle, NSW, AustraliaTHU 11/2 - Hq, Adelaide, SA, AustraliaFRI 11/3 - Metropolis, Fremantle, WA, AustraliaFor more information on The Bronx, visit thebronxxx.com.

Fusing the lo-fi buzz of 21st century garage punk with the sunburnt drift of vintage psychedelia, Levitation Room was formed in Los Angeles, California in 2012 by longtime friends Julian Porte and Gabriel Fernandez. The two had previously played together in a group called the Hitz; after they broke up, Porte focused on his interest in folk music, but in time he was eager to start a new band. After Porte posted a message on a social media page asking if anyone was interested in starting a band, Fernandez promptly responded, and they began exchanging notes on their shared interest in psychedelic rock. Porte became lead singer and guitarist with the new group, while Fernandez played lead guitar and sang backups. Porte discovered drummer Johnathan Martin when he borrowed a harmonica from him at a party, and with the addition of the similarly named Jonathan Martin on bass and vocals, the group's lineup was complete. After making the rounds as a live act and gaining the endorsement of California psych label Lollipop Records, Levitation Room self-released their first demo in March 2013 (it was later reissued by Lollipop), and their first proper EP, Minds of Our Own, followed in January 2015, released in a cassette edition by hip indie rock label Burger Records. By this time, Levitation Room were playing regularly in Los Angeles and touring the west coast, and were also the proprietors of Everydaze Music, a music store and vintage clothing boutique that also served as the group's rehearsal space and base of operations. Their first full-length album, Ethos, was released by Burger Records in early 2016.

Third Man Records releases John Waters' 'Make Trouble' album on vinyl
THIRD MAN RECORDS RELEASES AUDIO ALBUMOF JOHN WATERS' MAKE TROUBLE ON VINYL 7"
King of cult John Waters has long been an idol of the creative hive of maladjusted artsy types at Third Man Records. The label is pleased to release the audio album release of Make Trouble, Waters' subversive commencement speech delivered at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), published earlier this year by Algonquin Books, and now read by Waters himself. Make Trouble, the record, was available in full digitally last month, with the companion 7" single of the same name, featuring Waters' reading of his commencement speech at RISD in its entirety, out today via Third Man Pressing & Third Man Records. The recordings are produced by Grammy-winner Ian Brennan (Tinariwen, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Zomba Prison Project).
The speech begins with Waters explaining his qualifications to provide the graduating students the last word of their college education. "I should say right off that I am really qualified to be your commencement speaker. I was suspended from high school, then kicked out of college in the first marijuana scandal ever on the university campus. I've been arrested several times. I've been known to dress in ludicrous fashions. I've also built a career out of negative reviews. And I've been recently called the Prince of Puke by the press and another title I'm really proud of - the People's Pervert."
Waters spoke with NPR's Linda Wertheimer this Spring about the book, the fact that it was written in Obama's America and released in Trump's America, saying, "I don't believe that we should never not talk to people we don't agree with politically. If you can make that person laugh, it's the first step to getting him to listen to change their mind."
Listen to or purchase Make Trouble now at your preferred digital retailer, and purchase the vinyl 7"spoken word record now. The limited edition red vinyl version of the 7", which went on sale in advance to attendees at Waters' Rough Trade East in-store event and signing last night in London, is also available today at both Third Man Records storefronts.

The Selecter's New Studio Full-Length "Daylight" Out Today!
The Selecter's New Studio Full-Length Daylight Out Now!
On Tour w/ The Beat
The Selecter is led by their iconic frontwoman Pauline Black, alongside a hugely talented band of musicians, and co-fronted by original member Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson. The anarchic passion that fuelled the band’s gigs during the 2-Tone era is still there, except the pair (Pauline & Gaps) are more driven than ever. Their confidence is sky-high and they’re also writing the best songs of their career, which is saying something given the enduring popularity of hits like “Three Minute Hero,” “Missing Words” and “On My Radio.”
The band’s new album Daylight is due out today! All tour dates can be found below, and for all up-to-date information please visit www.theselecter.net!

Ten crisp and confident songs, mostly political in tone... The Selecter deserve credit for refusing to bask in its obvious comforts.

Pauline Black, Two Tone original, keeps ska potent on this bold return... The Selecter's culture-crossing British beauty is worth celebrating.

"Frontline" bounces along enthusiastically, overflowing with brass, as does the urgent tittle track... the joy of hearing Pauline Black's vocals definitely hasn't diminished.
2 Tone’s secret weapon forges on,
under Pauline Black’s charismatic leadership
The Queen of Ska...

With right-wing governments once again ruling Britain and the United States,
The Selecter has returned as well...

...the live show, led by the charismatic rude girl Pauline Black,
still packs a punch after nearly forty years.
The Selecter was and is one of the premier bands in the style known as 2-Tone...
...a dynamic band that sprung from the vaunted 2-Tone era...

...the First Lady of Two-Tone Ska
