Uh oh... Are these people talking mutiny?

I feel that I made some good progress on this tonight. I have no idea how it will end. Is it really possible to defeat the dragon??

Yikes... This last book is especially bloody!
And it's really dumb to go against the Bloodsworn.

Uh oh... Varg ran into an unexpected problem! His quest will be delayed yet again...

It is time for me to complete this trilogy!

I don't have a garden but I saw this in with the new books at the library and thought I would read it to see what it says about these little guys. So far some of the facts are very surprising, like they have thousands of teeth on their tongues! Who would have thought?

Now that is disturbing...

So I had a sudden thought about who the killer is and what may be going on in here. I guess I will have to see if I am right or wrong.

The characters in here are quite odd. So many of them are like recluses... They live on the island but they keep to themselves. And I know David is supposed to be the rich boyfriend with the wonderful house but I sure wouldn't want to stay there, not with how he's treating Faith. And then to think there is a maybe killer living across the water right there... No, I'd get out of there. These people have secrets.

Uh-oh... I already have some misgivings about this! I don't know if Faith should be going to that island with David! Because suddenly the plot of a very well known short story set on an island with rich people popped into my head! That would be crazy if that's where this book goes...

The war is really causing problems now...

And I hit the real first mention of Hitler, with the radio saying "God save Austria."

I suspect a good chunk of the remaining book might be about World War II?

This is absolutely fascinating!! It may sound weird but this memoir is a real page turner for me. The things being described and how they would do things is just so interesting. Why did they store nuts up in the attic? When you went visiting you were given schnapps and little cakes. What if you didn't drink alcohol?

Ummm.... Does anyone know what kind of work Mr Carter actually does? Because these are some mighty strange, suspicious "business associates". And I think the "street smart" kid was very dumb for touching that with bare hands!

This chapter is another diary entry. I wonder if the stuff in the diary is true or is it all made up by the killer?

This guy is totally sadistic...

It's a silly idea that rats need to make a pyramid to climb somewhere! Ratties are excellent climbers... They can scurry up surfaces with ease.. I guess she never was into the rat fancy.
Is a rat supposed to scare me?? 🤣🤣🤣 I used to have them snuggling on my shoulder! That was back in my "small animal phase". Before I started my large animal phase and got into horses.

How this chapter ends must be one of the most suspenseful cliff hangers ever! 😮

I don't see how anyone is going to find this poor girl... It seems so impossible 😔

The main character is annoying me...

Not pleased with this at all..had to read 150 pages before something actually happened! This book has a great creepy cover but the story itself is a snooze fest.

This book has been putting me to sleep but that sure woke me up!

There is something really wrong when you have to sneak someone a simple thing like peppermint tea. Because you are living in some strange group and stuff isn't allowed.

So my cousin has recommended this book to me so I will try it....

Ugh... I don't care for the writing style in this one. It's very dry and is paragraphs of facts. There is no story telling skill in here, no interesting little tidbits to bring the history to life. Several pages were just that X horse had begut X horse who was the parent of X horse.. 😕 sooooo dry! This series is hit or miss with authors.

Wow... I can't believe she was able to fool so many doctors! Where were all the gaslighting doctors? Here she was lying and yet she had doctors that believed her!

This book is SO fascinating!! I can't believe that Hope made all of that stuff up for YEARS and that she got away with it. It boggles the mind!

I have never read anything from this series before so I thought I'd try it. So far she has saved a vampire from some crooked people. I will see where it goes from there...

I feel I am coming close to the end of this but I have no idea how it might end. Worse I don't know how I want it to end. There are some complicated issues in this story and my brain is all confused about it... Not to mention in modern days can anyone really be committed for witchcraft? Surely most modern first world countries would throw it out as nonsense??
