There are so many plot twists in here and various side plots with these characters that it's just so fascinating! You just never know what will happen next!

Reading more of this today. I will see how far I will get. First now I have reached chapters with Breca who until just recently was only a name mentioned. Will Orka ever find her son?? And will Breca be seated by the dragon?? And I can't help but wonder if Varg will get seasick??

So I learned about pre constructed Bailey bridges (which I had no idea even existed) and about the Dutch hero named King Kong. So far I find this rather easy and interesting to read.

Well it was actually easy to guess who would win this battle. I am just surprised they fought until death.. I mean they knew each other. Must have been some grudges there....

I have read enough of this to know that I am having mixed feelings about this book. I kind of feel that the plot is wondering all over the place, which I don't like. I guess it's realistic to show how the moon affects other people (cheese shops, church, etc) but I find it annoying! Because I want to know the answer!

So our moon and all the moon rocks on earth have turned into cheese!! I can't wait to see how the author will explain this one!!

Oh my... This is shocking!!

This case is just SO interesting! And what I want to know now is did Adam make a huge mistake back in 1999? Did he arrest the correct person back then because the same crimes are going on again now. And we know sometimes innocent people do get blamed for whatever reason. So what is the truth? I haven't put this book down since I picked it up this morning.

I wonder why these police think you need the keys to drive a van? Whatever happened to people hotwiring them?? Hmmmmm... But I am loving reading this. Just a relaxing story on a rainy day. Sounds like it's pouring outside.

So I am continuing this series with book #4. And I fell into it right away and the pages just flew by super fast! And it's another interesting case. Seems like another demented person is out there hunting girls. It's super late here so I will continue this tomorrow. But I am definitely hooked.

I have been wondering for awhile now if something else is going on in here...

This is turning out to be quite the adventure story, which I hadn't expected. Many different environments in here but I have to say some of the events are pushing my disbelief. You know how you have to suspend your disbelief to accept certain things in a story? Well I am having problems with that with this book.

The price one has to pay for failing a room is way higher than one expects. That is of course considering you can find the next room! This story is very fascinating and the frequent dialogue moved it forward nicely.

This Helen is way too bossy! And Joe clearly doesn't know how to stand up for himself. I predict they will get into serious trouble at this haunted house as that is what the book is about!

I just had an idea about what might happen. I wonder if I am right???

Ooooh... A twist! I probably should have seen this coming but I didn't...

Mother Canyon is getting desperate and the situation is growing more serious. Lots of things are in flux. I feel kind of confident that Greta will survive but will she? Unsure about the others with her.

I managed to read more of this up and back from the ranch. There were certainly a few disturbing developments in here but I sort of expected it. I feel the plot is building up slowly to some bigger event when they get into that canyon. Unsure what will happen then. A battle maybe??

The essay about the common dandelion was very fascinating! I never realized they could prevent scurvy or had vitamin C!

There is so much stuff packed into this story, history and ghosts and ecology.

Imagine you are out in the middle of nowhere herding cattle and something is watching you and you hear / see strange stuff. And then your sensible boss starts talking about some ghost train. Love the descriptions in here! There is a creepy dread building too as they travel to this canyon.

I had thought western horror was rare but here is another one. And I have already learned something new too: that prairie grass can become toxic. Never knew that. The prologue in here hints at some dark stuff to come later, a canyon that is thirsty for blood.
