This book is SO good!! I can tell it's already going to be a five! These characters are complicated and so is the plot. You think you know what is going on and then things get twisted sideways in the most delicious way and there is a whole new problem to deal with. Poor Juva has a mess on her hands all right!!

I know EXACTLY what this silver likeness is! I had suspected it awhile back actually but now that they mentioned putting it in "water" and what they described... Yeah. That's not water! I used to play with that stuff back in highschool! 😂 I guess teens / college kids these days have no idea what dektol even is!

I am beginning to see that this Silver Throat is a bigger threat then the devil himself was! He is very... Charismatic.

I have definitely been enjoying these stories! It's a tad unusual as they are written in first person using "I" but somehow that makes them more fun.

It seems Juva has created a new problem for herself without meaning to.

I didn't even know you could split the ends of your hair on purpose!! I don't grasp how you could do that ...

I am unsure what this is about as I found this in a random isle of the library today, but I am curious about this "having a face before you were born"... Of course I take things literally so... ? I don't know... I will find out.

Those warow are always so much trouble for Juva! You just can't get rid of them.

So the details of the first book came back to me quickly when I started this one. And the wolf sickness is continuing even though the devil is gone. It makes me wonder could someone have a second devil somewhere? These people are addicts all right! It's why they get the sickness...

Kane is so super annoying.

So the two have met now. I wonder if those horrible goons who were after her will show up??

This is a very intriguing mystery so far.

So far the writing style is very vivid! I could almost imagine the opening scene at the beginning of the book. But the big question is How do you get deer antlers to stick to someone's head??!!

They may be hares but anyone who ever has cats can relate to this book! The sleeping on the stairs, ready to trip the human. The destruction of prized furniture, the worry about them eating things that should not be eaten...

Chewed cables, huh? Somebody didn't rodent proof their house! Lots of pets like to chew on wires and maybe the hare isn't a pet but she can still chew just fine!

Her trials and errors of trying to feed the hare various foods reminds me today of how George was busy eating acorns...whole entire acorns those fuzzy outer shells and all. Boy, he sure was having a great time! But like the hare, they will eat what they want to eat.

I am loving this book so far! And I am learning a lot about hares as well. I never realized that no one had ever successfully raised a baby hare before. I do see wild rabbits around here but unsure about a hare or if I would recognize one if I saw it.

These two girls in here are not getting along at all. And I can sort of see it / understand it from both sides?? But the horse related stuff in here is wonderful! I read this on the way to / from the ranch today.

I can already see why poor Haebom has the bully problem. I never understood this back when I was a kid or even as a teen - but certain channels on YouTube explained it. 😢

Sometimes I feel these characters in here are not too smart. Maybe the fear and anxiety takes over their minds but I feel they are doing the thing they shouldn't do. Like the myths say to not let the witch get blood but yet they use needles to prick themselves. Sigh....

Well maybe I am wrong about a possible killer but I guess the witch has to be someone they know? Right? Hmmm... And maybe the witch is trying to cover up the previous crime? But this sure is fascinating!

Well I must say this story is definitely getting more interesting and the plot more complicated. And I am looking for suspects! I don't know if it's actually witches or not, but I think it's clear that someone is trying to cover up something - most likely a crime.

The use of nicknames in this story when referring to other people (who are not presently there) threw me for a loop: found it rather confusing. I had to flip back through the pages to figure out who the nicknames meant! Guessing this was not something that came naturally to me. Otherwise I find the story to be moving a tad slow. Three different time periods.

The newspaper headline reads "The end of Czechoslovakia"....

This is an interesting question: what do you think of when you hear the word "space"? I think of "outer space", as in "space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise..." Seems the man in this story is a mathematician and a physicist but he thinks the average person thinks of something else when they hear "space". Umm...closet space??

Oooooh, I hope she gets somewhere now with solving this mystery of why the greenhouses keep failing!

Trauma is not always the things that happen to you. Sometimes it's the things that are supposed to happen but never do. The words that are never said, the hugs that never happened, the things that are skipped over for you but happen for others. And then you are left alone. Terlu doesn't seem to know that yet. But not all trauma is angry words and fists.

If I'm not careful I will be up all night reading this! This story is way too interesting to put down but it's getting near 1 am! The greenhouses will have to wait until tomorrow... But she is slowly turning into a real sorcerer. Obviously it takes practice.

I think the question now is what was Laiken afraid of??

So Torquell is a throwback... He is not only trying to fight the authorities but he is a throwback as well. But he's just working on instinct.. if he ever wants to beat those ogres (is that even possible?) he better get smarter.
