Having a hard time getting through this one.

This is the second time that I’ve tried to get through this book. There are so many words, and not a lot happening, so it’s not keeping my interest.

Really hard to finish this one.

Some creative use of commas and a weird spot for a semicolon.

Not sure if I’m going to finish this one. It’s not keeping my interest and the dialogue is not that great. It reads very… I don’t know… a bit contrived?

Losing interest. Half way through and it has been mostly flowery prose, contemplating life, and sex.

I don’t know if I’m going to be able to finish this one. The second main character didn’t appear until half way through, then insta-love, then he’s a non-entity, and a lot of thinking about stuff. I’ve skimmed a lot so far already.

Losing interest a bit. I’ve never cared for stories based mostly on battle strategy.

I have hit character overload. My notes on tracking who is who just collapsed under the complexity of the mass of people involved. I need a better way of tracking this.

Losing interest. I jumped into this one right after the “In Darkness” series. The two characters are pretty much the same in both series. It works better in the In Darkness series, though.

This is like one big therapy session. Ugh. Losing interest.

Wow, this is an expensive ebook.

Losing interest. The new terminology, and names of people and places, feels a bit tedious. Although stuff is happening, it just feels a bit slow to get to the point. Not sure if I’ll finish this book or not.

Huh. Turns out that I started this in Kindle version and then grabbed the Audible version without checking my list first. Oops. Let’s see if the Audible version keeps my interest as I’m quite fond of this narrator.

Oh, thank God, a new Victor Bayne novel! I was striking out trying to find something new to read that kept my interest.

Starting to lose interest.

I’m struggling with this one a bit. The language is a bit unfamiliar causing me to have to re-read sentences to figure out what they’re referring to. It’s a very slow build and the mystery isn’t exciting enough to keep my interest through the build. Not sure if I’m going to finish it or not

So far, this book is mostly sex and idle relationship chatter. Ugh. Tempted to DNF this one.

The never-ending travel is getting monotonous. Ugh.

It’s odd. Reading this is like listening to someone read it out loud in a classroom. The characters are all sounding alike.

Not getting much better. The focus is now on the developing relationship between the men and I’m just not feeling it. I was hoping the story would be more complex, and exciting, like Lord Mouse. But, there’s not a whole lot happening. Might DNF this one.

Started out good but then got melodramatic/girly. Still haven’t left the caravan yet. Hoping it gets better.

Eee gads, I'll be glad when I'm done with this book. The never ending descriptions and psychoanalysis of everything. I don't care that everyone needs therapy, you don't have to keep telling us everyone is in therapy or should get therapy. Just get on with the plot line already. She hasn't even left for Ireland yet.

I really miss the first books where they were more murder mysteries than these later ones.
