Loving this shrine maiden. Bullying is such a part of Japanese life. It’s sad. The origami foxes are super creepy. Love her sister and Shiro.

183 - some of their allies are taken to a dream world!

I didn’t hate this volume but I was underwhelmed. He’s trying to speed up the elven storyline by skipping lesser battles but it was really disjointed and rather boring,

182 - the elves plans come together Yami and Jack consider how to stop them when Asta and the black bull castle appear!

181 - Fineral knocks out his brother stealing the glory. Some of the reincarnated make it to the floating stone and assemble

180 - Fineral assists Jack and Yami in attacking Langris. Jack can match his magic to his opponent.

179 - we go back to the king and castle, Finral finds his brother. Yami and Jack having taken out the others. Langris won’t be so easy.

178 - the trap guy comes and urges the royals to getup and not wimp out. Haha

177 - Noelle fights and breaks thru her reinstated bubble area

176 - Nozel apologizes to Noelle when her ploy to fill the room causes the elf possessed to let go her magic. But the battle wasn’t won and Nozel is stabbed thrice! Noelle creates Valkyrie armor!

175 - Noelle and her older brother are in time to save another brother. The elf possessed dude disturbs the man’s in the area. Nozelle says to run but Noelle wants her time to shine... and Nozelle acknowledges her as House Silva!

138 - the Silva’s are attacked. It’s a bit of a mess of a chapter.

173 - Landris attacks the castle with some other minor magic knights. Finigral and Yami go to help, Jack the Ripper a Captain shows up to attack too.

115 - the two boys Jin and Hayato are from Mr Minerva. He has a base 3 days away and has been releasing kids from farms. They idolize Emma and co for freeing themselves. Chris is getting worse though and won’t make the trek. So the boys suggest they break into the nearby farm!

Fascinating new arc...

114 - the younger kids were trained over the year Emma and the older kids looked for the previous place. They find food using their training! On day 8 of their travel they find humans fighting off large demons!

113 - we meet a group of ex food children with a mysterious blonde leader as they destroy a mass farm. They can’t rescue the children as a device will kill them if removed. The man embraces one and then they burn it to the ground. Emma and co break the code and they head to the jaw of lion.

I appreciate how swift the pace has been, but that we also took the time to acknowledge the deaths of allies that were loved. Andrew injured was horrorish which has been missing for the last couple volumes. I’m glad to see it back. The kids are in a tight spot, but when aren’t they?!

112 - Oliver shoots A and a monster eats him. They rescue the two young kids and escape below. Ray realizes an owl tracked them. That’s how A knew the area they were in. So the root area isn’t safe either. They have to follow the call... an announcement to the shelter came from enemies... oh no!

111 - awww three are dead and the two youngest used as bait. Andrew made it out because he’s been “reinforced” somehow. He tells them what he’s done and says they’ll all die because they’re too nice and can’t kill a human... then bang...

110 - Of course Y and L don’t appear. Ray and Gillian fight about checking out the shelter. The older kids decide to wait. Some younger ones though decide to sneak out... unknowingly they reveal their location to Andrew! Oliver shows a string of numbers to Emma from the call Lucas took! A direction to take from here.l.

109 - awwww what a beautiful goodbye. Poor Emma! She will be most effected by this loss. I loved that he came and reassured her in her dreams. And he got to meet everyone on the other side. These kinds of chapters/scenes kill me.

108 - Yugo refuses to leave Lucas this time. They make it to the armory but not before Andrew riddles them with bullets. They blow up the armory... Noooooo I loved these guys!

107 - Lucas and Yugo fight off Andrew’s men. Andrew realizes he has to take these guys out to get to the children.

Bonus story - a cute story about Obi and Ryu meeting. They talk about climbing trees and growing seeds.

21 - Raj and Shirayuki talk and she says she wants to improve their relationship but honestly I’m not sure why?! The two kids are twins and younger siblings to Raj.they get lost in underground passages. Mihaya finds the boy who propositions him to help them capture her.

20 - a leisurely chapter as Obi and Shirayuki travel back to her home country. They meet with Raj who is different. And decide to spend time together. It was a little awkward and a little boring.

19 - the invitation is from Arab in the neighboring kingdom for her to come to a banquet, Izana orders her to go for the week. Obi fights Zen to be the one to escort her. Zen and Shirayuki share a moment saying goodbye.

18 - the bandit from the mountains is back with information about a boy with brown hair and a pretty face who is looking for Shirayuki. Izana also knows about it through an invitation for her.

A new story arc! Yay!

28 - Togyu persists in meeting up with Yuyuka. I think he’s good for her! Suzume believes Shishio has been different with hurt and confirms it when he saves her from a pot and admits she’s a girl to him.

I’m just not feeling this series even though Yuyuka and Mamura intrigue me as characters.

27 - they guy is an upperclassman who is interested in Yuyuka! He wants Suzume to tell him about her. Things for the cultural festival progress. Suzume is getting measured for her costume when she leaves the classroom and runs into Shishio who blushes and overreacts seeing her in shorts and a tank top.
