also, I’m calling it now, Gadfly is actually rooting for them to come out on top. He orchestrated all of this so Rook would overthrow the King and change Faery. Why would he want that? Maybe he wants his existence to be less empty. Maybe he’s received a vision that he’ll someday fall for a human and therefore must abolish The Good Law to protect them.
