I don't know what to think of this book and I'm 70% in... it's narratively messy and like I mentioned before, unrelenting in bad things after bad things happening to the MC.

This book is a lot. Just bad thing after bad thing happens to the main character. It's constant. This is such an angry book too.

"We reconcile these impossibilities, and we are left with the answer." I love this silly fantasy Sherlock Holmes world Bennett has created. It's like Sherlock Holmes in Dishonored's Dunwall. I'm still obsessed. And I finally have time to read it with the holidays over!

Well, this is already a lot. It's so much right at the start it almost feels satirical, but I'm familiar enough with the author to know it's not, so it's just a really heavy start. Curious to where this is going specifically.

So I totally mixed this book up with Days at the Morisaki Bookshop. I'm not hating it. It reminds me of You've Got Mail minus the conflict lol if we just followed Kathleen in a normal, totally regular year in her life as a bookstore owner. It's pretty chill. They have the most random conversations.

Casual whatever, I don't know what to make of this. Reminds me of Lake (the fame) so far lol

I'm both reading and listening to this... and it definitely helps. I'm not hating it, I just need to get used to it.

This is fun. It reminds me of a cross between The Mummy and Romancing the Stone. Ellie is such an Evie!

I get why people like this, the character work is fun and engaging though the content kinda grosses me out sometimes. The audiobook is really good.

Another feminist book that raises my hackles at the injustices faced by the women in this book. Why do I do this to myself lol

Picked this up on a whim when the audiobook was on sale for .99 on Audible. Not sure how good of an idea it is to read something that's sure to enrage me lol Makes me want to march for women's rights - something we may need to do again in the future, unfortunately.

Ugh, Thummler just knows how to hit you right in the feels with her words and art. This is like a gut punch it feels so real, even with the ghosties.
