My favorite detective and my favorite author. It’s nice to get back into reading.

This book, with a copyright of 2015, offers amazing insight into current events, especially the war in Ukraine. It does feel a bit dated in places, though. I wish I had read it when it originally came out.

An amazing read! Now I understand why Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine. More importantly, I understand that he will never leave.

I’m already loving this book. It reminds me of one I read quite a while ago by Stuart O’Nan, “last night at the lobster“.

This book is so very anti-American.

Ugh! I am so disappointed that this book is basically Jewish propaganda about how beleaguered they have been/are and how they bear no blame for the hatred being directed at them.

If I didn’t know better (and, actually, I don’t), I would think that Daniel Silva is in love with Gabriel Allon. He writes almost breathtakingly of the character that he created.

I don’t remember Silva‘s other books that I have read being written in quite such a stilted manner. His choice of adjectives and descriptions of characters and their actions is very awkward to read.
