Ugh. I loved that second story and I totally had a feeling the fox was going to get betrayed. But my favorite quote so far has to be "In the wood, even songbirds must be survivors." LIKE OMG IM GETTING THAT TATTOOED IDC. What a Genya mood tbh.

I've just finished the first story and I have to say Leigh continues to have one of the most distinct and impressive voices in YA literature. Also that story was amazing, I loved how it contradicted what usually goes in fables and legends, and turned it on its head. Especially the story about sometimes just having that sadness inside of you, like that's so real.

I've only been reading for 50 minutes and I'm already making a dent. I feel like this is such a like... plot-driven, wastes-no-time book, and I like that! Even though, I have a preference for like... extra moments and character building and that kind of stuff.

I just finished The Midnight Star and to say that I'm bawling my eyes out is an extreme understatement. Review to come when my emotions are more stable and I can actually analyze what I just read. I'm just so pleased with how that ended, but my emotions are a wreck. God, I love Adelina so much 😭😭😭

I WON NANOWRIMO!!!! I wrote 50k words of my own novel!!! And while it's far from complete, that's still a huge achievement! BE PROUD OF ME WORLD.

I'm loving this so far, a lot more than I thought I would! It took a little getting used to the regency talk, but once you do, it's fantastic! I love Lydia, she's so smart and cool and capable. Jane Austen is SHOOK.
