First week of Dec I'm planning to get my poop in a group and catch up on my series! I have such a bad habit of starting a series and then... reading only standalones for 3 months. So, 1st will be Rose Society, 2nd Lair of Dreams, 3rd Glass Sword, 4th Blue Lily, 5th Magic Study and... as far as I know that's it. Then a week of more standalones... And then a week of starting new series'... December is gonna be LIT.

I'm legit so in love with this book and the world it's spun in??? Yelena is kind of childish and has a temper and I love her and would die for her.

I finished TSIYH but review to come l8r because I've been so immersed in plotting and writing all day!! I'm almost at 30k words???? Not even anywhere near finishing??? I can't believe before November I had literally zero words.... this draft is legit garbage but... it's a draft, and I'm so proud of myself? I know I also shouldn't get ahead of myself but.... fingers crossed for best books of 2018???? Fingers crossed!

I kinda think Ollie might still be the murderer like idk how but it'd be a great plot twist to have like framed the other dude? Like... Idk I still think Ollie slept with Haley like she was the girl he'd hooked up with before Makani js. I'd be kind of disappointed if the killer is really just David. I NEED INTERESTING MOTIVATIONS.

“He unhooked the clasp on her bra and then pulled it down, sliding his hands onto her boobs. ” Okay this is such a small thing to notice but I LOVE that she used "boobs" and not "breasts" because it gives it a much more juvenile and AUTHENTIC feel and I love that so much!!!

Y'all will probably notice that I'm sticking to more contemporary or light-hearted YA reads until November ends just because it gives me more inspiration while writing my novel!!! I can't wait to finish the RQ series and read The Rose Society and start Warcross and all these other more fantasy, darker reads, but I just need grit my teeth and get through it!! 19 more days to go! Word count's at 17k right now!

I'M TOO IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK. Olivia is a hot mess. Whit is fascinating. There's so many sapphic undertones... So much girlhood gothic... So many schemes. I NEEDED A READ LIKE THIS BLESS.

I want to fall into this book and let it consume me. I want to consume it. I want to eat it all up and have it give me magic awesome writing lessons. I keep rereading all of Jude's chapters because there's just... so much there. I have to read it once, and then again for the writer in me. To properly appreciate every single nuance and word and metaphor and image. Holy shit.

"And I'm sad too ... I'm not okay either." Okay, well that whole section with the rant to Guillermo really made me tear up. There's something about holding everything in and then it all coming out that really speaks to me. I feel like one of Jude's sculptures, broken in the kiln.

Somehow finding time inbetween writing to keep reading! It's definitely picked up by now, and I totally understand Noah a ton better. I definitely prefer Jude, simply because I think I connect to her more in a sense, but I also have to admire the way Noah sees the world and how he brings everything to life.

The real struggle is wanting to vote for all the nominees... I gotta hurry up and read the ones I haven't so I get that #informed vote. Also I've decided to forgo buying new clothes and instead invest in 100euros worth of books....... Because I'm worth it.

Because I'm moving and can't bring all (sigh, or ANY) of my books to Egypt (where they were originally before I brought them to Malta) I'm trying to read the few that I have as fast as I can. I just read on my laptop now for efficiency. Now I have to read: I'll give you the sun; lady midnight; song of achilles; blue lily lily blue and everything everything. I THINK that's it. Then I can get back on track with my TBR!

Finally updating and cleaning up my shelves! Plus, I'm working on a blog to formally write reviews and fun stuff on... So basically doing everything to avoid actually writing!

The frustrating thing to me as a reader, knowing Adelina is making all the wrong choices and not being able to do anything about her. I'm half horrified and half fascinated. She's such a great protagonist in that she's so... full of depth and layers and duality. I love all her flaws so far. I love that this book makes me question the meaning of wrong and right, good and bad.
