I wish the dragons were more temperamental and dangerous, like the GOT dragons, but ... fun, so far.

Animal stampede was awesome! I hope the big cats eat someone. Anyone. Hate everyone (except Walter and Queenie) in this book.

I. Hate. Jacob. And his stupid bimbo, Marlena, too. The only worthwhile character in this book is Walter and he...well, fuck.

No, Jacob, she isn't. But you, however, are so stupid it burns. Moron!

Jacob seems to spend more time having fancy dinners with his obnoxious boss and wife, than actually taking care of animals.

This book only serves to confirm the fact that circuses are EVIL! Abusive, horrible.

I find it unlikely that the circus horse wranglers needed a veterinarian to tell them that Silver Star was foundering. Founder is one of those equine illness where the symptoms are well known to any experienced horse person (self included).

Shoe shopping? Ugh! B.O.R.I.N.G. BORING, BORING, BORING. Any comparisons to the Percy Jackson series are way overstated. This is like a twee romance with Greek names. Contemplating DNFing this one, because...ugh. Disappointing.

Hermes is okay, but Hades is the actual hottie. He'll probably turn out to be the bad guy, but I likes my bad boys.

Probably because I'm a cold-hearted cynic, but Medusa's endless guilt trip about her petrified victims is getting tedious. Move on. It happened. Big deal.

Medusa claims to have kept up with pop culture and speaks in modern lexicon. So how is it that she can't figure out what "hottie" means, especially in reference to Hermes? Makes. No. Sense.

"I have long been accused of having no motherly instinct. As near as I can tell, this instinct consists of attempting to wrap anyone below the age of eighteen in swaddling bands, so that they never learn anything about the world or its dangers." LOL. Sing it, sista!

Started off interesting, but the female protagonist's anachronistic fascination with science-y stuff doesn't make up for a lack of plot. Plus, I'm not a fan of Jane Austen or Regency romances and the like. So...bored.

After the nauseating fluff that was "Beastly," I need something raw and gritty to clear the literary palette.
