Always loved Andrew McCarthy ..growing up in the 80's watching his films...heard him on NPR talking about his travels and so had to get the book...so far very good and well written ...reminds me of Elizabeth Gilbert of Eat Pray Love...looking forward to hearing him speak and meeting him at a book event in two weeks!!

Oh...this is going to be fabulous!!!

The author I felt she did not know what direction she should take this book throughout ...the synopsis was lead to one thought in regards to the American soldier whom the main character Anna marries but he was only briefly mentioned in the beginning and then really is only truly introduced until the end. Not one of my favorite World War II reads ...this one was just ok...so I am left disappointed.

Good solid story ...interesting characters but still peeling back the layers and I have like the majority of the novel read....

What better way to get more inside into the world of our most beloved Pope from the man who worked closely with him his personal Secretary Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz.

Very good read for this stormy Saturday night in late October....I really love Catherine Cookson novels. Her characters and storylines are amazing.

Been a crazy week only really had a moment today to read a spell...more reading after Call The Midwife!

I am truly fascinated with this wonderful novel!

Such a page turner! Not to mention I just got to a twist in the story I never saw coming! I know I am biased because my dearest college friend wrote this novel but it is so so good. Though provoking on such a sad commentary of the times!
