When I saw this novel in B & N several months back and I read the synopsis, I knew this one was one I wanted to read. So far, I am not diappointed!

I finally finished Emma! Note to self...Never start a classic novel when one is prepping for a move! I did after all my bellaching about Emma enjoy this novel! Not one of my favorites but it was a good read!

This is sad to say but I can't wait to finish this novel! Truly the least of my favorite Jane Austen novels. I have tried to like Emma but she is way to critical, judgmental, snobbish and a very big nosybody. I had hoped she would see the error of her ways but she has not. :-( grr!

Ok....now I am seeing what people love about the novel. I am liking a few of the secondary characters. Hmm, they seem like they will give Emma a run for her money!

I am drudging through this one! I am sad to say I am not very fond of Emma herself. She is way to nosy and opinionated for her own good and she has yet to learn her meddling ways lead to heartache for those around her! Argh! I know so many love this novel but I hate to say it...she is not one of my favorite Jane characters. I will give her time though!

Starting to get into this novel now and I think I like Mr. Knightley. He was none to pleased with Emma and her getting involved with Harriet and Mr. Martin's proposal!!!!

I know it seems I am reading Emma at a snails pace but I have not had much free me and reading time the past month and a half! Once I get past my move I will sit back and relax with my cup of tea and my Emma read!

Hmmm, me thinks Emma is a bit whinny not to mention it but also seems to stick her nose in to others affairs. However, I was reminded by a dear friend that Emma is still a teenager and acts as a teenager should, even in those times!

I wish it was the weekend! I want to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea and this the last of my Austen novels to read.

Still at the tip of the iceberg with Emma and have been introduced to Emma, her Father and Mr. Knightley. No first impressions as of yet but I will detail them as soon as I delve deeper into the read!

This is an interesting first hand account of what it was like to be "in service" and how the world never seems to change regards the difference in classes and social status.
