i enjoyed “tinker tailor soldier spy” so much that i am starting with the second book in the karla trilogy right away :) i read that whereas the george smiley books don’t need to be read in a specific order, this “sub”-trilogy within the series should be read after another so that’s what we’re going for!!

i saw the movie so i should probably know who the spy is but i genuinely have no idea???

the book is easier to understand than the movie but k still have to reread passages a couple of times to understand their full meaning. it’s not boring though!!!

my first Agatha Christie!!! i’m so excited ahhhh

the book is so different from what i expected. i thought it would be like in agggtm or truly devious where a cold case is picked up again and slowly solved but it’s more about the protagonist coming into terms with her past and suppressed memories i think??

I am really not sure how I feel about the book so far. The writing is super irritating at times, but I am intrigued to find out more.

there’s so much i don’t remember from my first read?? like the whole subplot with the baron and his nephew and also the terraforming project of the fremen are completely new to me?? i’m wondering if i even read the book already lmao

now that I know that apparently the Aes Sedai in The Wheel of Time were inspired by the Bene Gesserit in Dune, I can’t unsee it. It’s so obvious!!!

The book is much easier to follow than on my first read!

This might be my favorite Expanse book since the first installment!!

Instead of introducing new characters we get the POVS of the different members of the Roci crew. And about time!! I’ve been curious about their background stories since book 1 (and the reason why I didn’t want to continue the show, because I didn’t want to let myself get spoiled). 😍
