the book makes me so uncomfortable and physically sick and i don’t even know why

Meine anderen beiden reads sind ziemlich heavy und brauche ich mal etwas „leichteres“ zur Abwechslung. Ursula Poznanski hat mich bis jetzt immer mit ihren Büchern gefesselt (ich liebe sie!) und das hier wollte ich ewig schon lesen. Let‘s go!

we’re discussing excerpts from it in one of my classes for next semester, but i was interested so i decided to read the whole thing. it is unsurprisingly depressing so far and i have to read summaries of each canto on wikipedia but i am intrigued

Okay, I like the book. It has good pacing, constant suspense and memorable characters. Yet, I am not enjoying the series as much as I thought I would. Some people on booktube call it the best fantasy series that came out in recent years and I just.. can’t see it. 😅 Aggggh.

my favorite characters at this point: egwene (!), siuan, mat, verin (idc i love her, makes me proud to consider myself brown ajah), tuon (sometimes), elayne (!). aviendha, min (most of the time), nynaeve, lan… i can’t believe how familiar i’be become with these characters. they feel like family at this point. ❤️

oh my we are FINALLY learning what’s up with verin. i’ve been curious about her since book 2!!

i used to be annoyed by Rand, now I just feel sorry for him…

Political intrigues, two clans wanting to seize power and an increasingly complex global conflict — that book has it all!!

the end of chapter 10, omg i got chills!!! and ahhhhh sometime i’ve been anticipating and theorizing about since book 5 is FINALLY happening 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

The book already opened up with a 90 page or so prologue and a lot of promising ideas. it feels like all the loose strings are being picked up and slowly reunited to get ready for Tarmon Gai'don. I am so hyped, friends!!!

perrin & his followers literally ist entered a town where people see the dead walking around and some sort of illness is making the people sick but be still wants to buy their things to make food??? excuse me, i’m no expert but that does not seem to be the most sensible idea mr goldeneyes

will we ever learn more about Waygates and why they are… the way they are? What about the portal stones and the “other worlds” that they could lead to? there’s so much world building left unexplained and i have sm questions!!!

i like the protagonist but she also takes some wrong decisions that make me angry,,, on the other hand i probably would not act differently in her situation 🙈

It’s true that this is one of the slower books in the series but i am actually not that bored. maybe that’s because i don’t need action all the time, i’m content to listen to court intrigues and how the different plots progress and i’m sure it’ll all come together in the end. i’m glad i can listen to the audiobook though 🙈
