well now we not only have the one power but also the true power on top of 2048283 different characters and cultures to keep track of and because that’s not complicated enough people suddenly reappear under different names and i’m supposed of know who is who and suddenly some guy who was mentioned 3 books ago is discussed again and im supposed to know him ROBERT JORAN MY HEAD HURTS CALM DOWN

i would love to write a paper on the polyamorous subtext in the relationship that Elayne, Min, Aviendha and Rand share.

The characters in the book are so human. They just found out about a huge amount of new systems with new planets. Instead of slowly looking into what they offer, seizing the opportunity, they fight over one single planet. Ugh, humans…

idk if rand knows this but his “no woman should be hurt by my hand!!” stance is not the feminist take he thinks it is 💀

I’m not reading it for a class of anything, but because I’m seeing it in the Globe in London this month! Yes. apparently now I’m that person who reads Shakespeare for fun. But there is just so much to analyze in his plays!

So far I understand arguments and favor and against of this book, but I’m mostly on the side of those who like it. I am also in absolute awe because of the beautiful prose and thus I’m mostly reading it out loud to myself (even though that’s dumb, I know).
