So far we are just meeting the six people who are going to get their Willy Wonka-esque Golden Ticket invite for an overnight stay at the infamous Beechwood Castle.

I'm loving the writing so much.

This has me feeling many things thus far. Mainly anger and disgust, but I like that. I think Sutanto has succeeded in making me feel that way, because I feel like that is the intentions. It's sort of clear where this is headed, but I'm invested and along for the ride!

I'm really enjoying the character work here.
Nguyen has made me feel so connected and empathetic towards the MC, Annie, already. Very strong writing.

This is so funny! This trainer/yogi guy has really caused quite a stir in Cabot Cove!

There's something so touching about Laylee's story.
She's felt so alone for so long, but now...her getting friends, it just fills my heart. Hearing her ask for help, that almost broke me. Wahhhhh

Again with another husband I can't stand.
This guy is judgy and a little harsh.
Hey, how about you cut your wife, who just lost her mother, some slack, pal, alright!?

Also, he 'doesn't love animals'?! He's gotta be a psycho.

Oofh. This is quite literary isn't it.
Not really what I was expecting...
I'm not sure how I feel about it.
We'll see how this wraps up.

I didn't realize how much Alice & Oliver (from Furthermore), I thought it was just set in the same world, I didn't think there would be a lot of character crossover. This is great. And I love that the narrator is aware and basically tells the Reader that they should read Furthermore if they haven't already. LOL

Completely unique in it's construction and story.
I have no clue what the outcome is going to be, but I'm so impressed!

I'm enjoying this.
I wouldn't argue that it's super compelling.
It's actually quite slow-moving and thoughtful.
More of a character piece than I was expecting, but I am appreciating the nod to the Horror genre in general. It's almost feels like Stephen Graham Jones in that regard, but not with as much finesse, IMO.
It's a solid effort though. I'm excited to keep going with it tomorrow!
