With only 20 pages left it looks like some questions I have won't be answered, but this book is exceptional.

I'm loving the book, but I'm pretty sure I could have done without the scene in which Eva catches Kevin masturbating. Kevin is already sick enough without us learning that he tries to cause his mother to catch him in the act. Little overkill IMO.

Even though the three main characters are all unlikable pricks, this book is completely fascinating me. Still, I wish Franklin were real so I could smack the hell out of him LOL

Thus far this is my favorite book I've read in the past month; I've yet to get to a part that is even slightly dull. I really like Lionel's writing style. I was also really surprised to find out Kevin is still alive; usually kids who do what he did kill themselves, so I was definitely not expecting an appearance by him.

The plot of this book is about a woman writing letters to her estranged husband two years after a major tragedy. While the letters are so well written they don't feel "real", thus far the book has completely hooked me. I hope it doesn't begin to fizzle like a lot of books I've been reading lately.

About half of what I read today was boring; unfortunately Lisey isn't a particularly interesting character. The half that details her dead husband's past is much more interesting.

The book has picked up considerably in the last several chapters. I just think King dragged it on way too long; there was a lot of stuff that didn't really add to the story IMO and made me enjoy this book less than I should have. I felt like this story should have been around 400 pages.

I'll be glad when I finish this.
