There's actually only 392 pages, so I have less than 100 to go.

I really need to make a cheatsheet for all classics because it makes it so much more enjoyable and easy to understand. I'm really loving this book and it sure makes me glad I didn't live in 1800's England. My, what pathetic people!

So glad I printed a "cheat sheet" with all the characters on it, it makes it much easier for me to follow the story.

I seem to be able to understand what's happening a lot better in this than Pride & Prejudice, bit I'm having trouble telling the characters apart. Was it really necessary to name sisters Margaret and Marianne? I keep getting the mixed up!

I enjoy these classics, even though the characters make no sense to me. Most characters marry for money and not love, and characters will receive bad news that makes them sick for days. Was the human race ever really as silly as classic novels portray us?

Though I enjoyed the book, I'm glad to be nearing completion so I can start reading something else.

I really enjoy the book, but two things would make it better. One: the characters almost all rather one-note. Two: Two: if it had been written from a neutral POV instead of an anti-death penalty stance. IMO it would be more influential if Grisham remained neutral let readers decide for themselves instead of constantly referencing that he's right and pro-death penalty people are wrong. You convince NO ONE that way.

After the last chapter, it's kind of hard to believe there's over 150 pages left in the book. I wish some of the characters were a bit more complex, but other than that this is a really good book.

I bought this book shortly after Troy Davis' execution. Thus far I'm enjoying it; I especially like the way Grisham deals with the victims' mother. I hate how so many times the victims' family seems more concerned with someone dying in retaliation for their victims' death than they are with making 100% sure the person being executed is even guilty.

I love the politics in the book. Abeleyn is definitely my favorite character.

My only complaint really is there are so many characters and so many kingdoms that it's hard to keep track of all of them.
