I finished Numbers and am now at Deuteronomy 11

Numbers has certainly picked up, though I'm not a fan of the fact God only punished Miriam for what she AND Aaron did.

At first I was glad to be through with Leviticus, but I'm finding Numbers to be even worse. There is SO much repetition! I definitely preferred Genesis and Exodus.

Finished Exodus and have read approximately half of Leviticus, the shortest chapter of the five books known as the Torah

Thus far I'm enjoying the Bible a lot more than I expected. There are still some parts that go on and on about things that really aren't important (such as naming people's kids on multiple occasions as well as Exodus 25-29), but most of the story of Moses is actually a decent read. I was unaware that after saving the Hebrews from the Egyptians, God considered killing them but was talked out of it by Moses (Exodus 32)

Finished Genesis and I just read the part in Exodus parts the Red Sea. Confused why God kept plaguing Egypt for not releasing the Hebrews when God was the one who hardened the heart of the Pharaoh to the point where it was impossible to release them.

Glad I'm almost through with Genesis (the first book of the Bible). Every five or so chapters it seems to feel the need to list a random biblical character, their children, THEIR children, and THEIR children. It winds up repeating itself a lot.

Finally getting around to reading the book that destroyed the J key on my laptop LOL. I knew going in that this would take a long time to read, but I did not expect to only be able to read 11 pages in an hour. Wow, this is going to take a while! Surprisingly, I'm not yet finding the Bible to be as confusing as I expected it to be.

Page 327 of 330. I've finished the novel itself as well as the afterwards from Erich Fromm, but there's still a list of other Orwell novels in the back I want to check out, plus a list of biographies about Orwell as well as some a list of other classics.

Orwell took a turn that I did not expect to see coming at all. I think I know how it's going to end, but I wouldn't be surprised if Orwell throws in one final twist. And can I just say that I find it strange that a novel that is now considered a "classic" uses the word "orgasm"? Maybe Jane Austen would not approve!

I hope the story actually leads to some sort of rebellion against Big Brother, because thus far I'm not entirely understanding the purpose of the novel. The world Orwell created is excellent, but I feel like he's not really doing anything with it.

I'm enjoying the "world" Orwell has created, but I really wish it would get into the story. Thus far nothing has actually happened.

I tried reading this book a year or two ago but couldn't really get into it, which was strange because I loved Orwell's "Animal Farm" when I read it in high school. Thus far I've only read the first chapter, but I am much more interested in it than I was when I last tried to read it. As a fan of the show Big Brother, it's about time I read about the very first Big Brother.

I haven't noticed any clues, but even if it's not a "real" mystery I'm really enjoying this book.

If you enjoy mysteries and love animals, you should check out this series. I just hope that this winds up being a real mystery with clues to the killer's identity and that you aren't just required to just take a guess and hope you picked the right person. Thus far I've noticed no clues (though in all honesty I'm very likely to miss them LOL).
