Some parts of the book are pretty interesting, other times it's pretty dull. Nowhere near as intriguing as Cell or Under the Dome. I just wish King would quit with his characters' made-up dialogue; all it does is annoy the hell out of me. Case smucking closed, babyluv. *Shudders*

Well, the book has gone from good tips back to more stories that don't really help anyone. :( Strangely in one section Kevin mentions part time jobs you can get that offer benefits, and one of those he mentions is Circuit City. All Circuit City stores were closed by 3/8/09, yet later in the book he references online news articles that were printed AFTER Circuit City even closed.

Now that he's actually giving tips, I'm enjoying the book. He's got some very interesting ideas. I have no idea if they WORK, but it sounds like good advice.

I have no interest in this book, but Dad ordered this book through the TV and asked me to read it. Thus far I have to say that Kevin comes across somewhat as a non-violent cult leader; his writing his very charismatic yet he's not really saying anything. The jacket of the book claims it will teach you various techniques to save/earn money, but 34 pages in and he has yet to actually start giving any tips.

I'm enjoying the overall story, but the characters don't make a lot of sense. I *STILL* can't figure out why in a time of crisis, Laurel insisted on calling her older sister Thalia, who is about as deep as a teaspoon of water!

I've been really enjoy the book, but the last couple of chapters fell flat for me. The imprisonment was pretty boring, and even now that the protagonist is freed it hasn't really picked up back to the same levels of excitement I was feeling in the beginning of the book.
