I'm not as dissatisfied as I was a couple of days ago, but I do wish Taylor had gone into more detail on some things. I also wish that Taylor had included a section on Muslim belief as well included some controversial beliefs (such as David/Jonathan being lovers). I was also disappointed that he only refers to Judas' death as suicide; while that was how he died in Matthew, in Acts says he died because he fell down.

I'm enjoying it a bit more. I was wrong, there is a chronological list of events in the Bible, but the list only covers two pages. I swear, a lot of what the writer says is not how I interpreted things when I read the Bible.

I'm really disappointed thus far. It's not holding my interest nearly as much as I expected. I misinterpreted what it said in the back. When it said "A detailed time line showing the complete history of the Christian church", I was expecting a chronological order of the events in the Bible; my fault I misinterpreted, but I'm still really disappointed because I'm not getting what I wanted.

Very little advancement in today's hour of "reading", but that's largely because the first 67 pages consist of a bunch of quizzes. I took each quiz and then checked my answers, so I haven't even really started "reading" anything yet. Anyway, I juts finished the last quiz so things will likely pick up now.

I've officially finished the story; the only things left are some author notes as well as a preview of Moran's next book. I really like the way Moran includes some historical notes at the end to explain some of the things she altered for the story. I just wish she had explained whether Yachin was real or purely fictional; I'm guessing he was a fictional character since there wasn't even much knowledge about her bros.

"We Need to Talk About Kevin" was the first time I described a book as "powerful"; "Madame Tussaud" is the second time. I was do disappointed when I read about Johann's death and appalled when poor little Yachin was murdered as well. This is a very emotional book.

Man, this was one f***ed up period in French history. And I thought the bickering between Democrats and Republicans was bad! When I think of the French, I certainly don't think about them as savages, but that's exactly how they behaved during the Revolution.

I enjoy novels set during important times in European history. It wasn't even until page 200 that I realized this is the second novel in the past 9 months in which the storming of the Bastille played a part in the overall plot.

Pretty interesting thus far. Now I'm probably going to have to go and add a book about the French revolution to my wishlist.

Only one chapter left. My only complaint is that I really don't care about any romance, but that's a minor complaint. Besides, what young adult novel doesn't have the kids falling in love? At least it's not just sentimental garbage like a lot of romance stories
