Martin is adept at throwing in twists I never saw coming. I just hope one of those "twists" is Sansa either getting killed off or growing up. I can stand murderers more than that little girl LOL.

I am absolutely loving this book. Martin manages to make me run through a gamut of emotions. The introduction of Sam was touching, though the sudden friendship developed was unrealistically fast. And I absolutely love little Arya.

I was loving everything that happened until the heartbreaking event in the most recent chapter. Cersei and Joffrey's sadistic asses need to be punished. RIP Lady. In addition to that there were some really interesting revelations about the last royal family.

Absolutely loving it. Martin has already thrown in one major plot twist that I never saw coming and that was only on page 85! Loving the character's unique perspectives though I do have to admit the taboo sex stuff is a turn off.

Really liking it thus far. The large amount of characters introduced so early on makes it confusing but I'm mostly following along. The way it's not exactly PG like Wheel of Time was a surprise to me. Already figured out what correct Peter Dinklage plays (not that it was hard based off the character's description LOL).

Now that the reunion has actually started, it's getting better. The writing is still mediocre yet the action scenes mostly work well.

I could tolerate the amateurish writing for a while but I'm starting to get tired of it. It also doesn't help that I'm halfway through the book and the actual reunion hasn't even started.

Despite the amateurish writing and flaky characters, Bennington's enthusiasm is keeping me interested. Still I can't help but think "I could do this better" (even though I couldn't since I never bother writing anything LOL).

The writing feels amateurish but it's not bad. I would have guessed the writer was younger than me, not twelve years older. The shooting didn't have much of an emotional impact, though.
