I enjoyed the night out in Aspen though it makes me wish the novel focused on Kate/Elliot instead of Ana/Christian. It's a lot of fun when the characters keep their hands off each other for three seconds.

Interesting when the actual plot is allowed to progress. Feels like the end is near, though, when I'm not even halfway through. Major plot twist coming, or just lots and lots of the world's dullest porn?

The story is interesting in the few instances where they characters aren't having sex. Unfortunately the sex is dull and constantly takes me out of the story. One minute there's an exciting car chase, but then the moment they're safe they decide to have sex in a public parking lot. So disappointing that James created this exciting scene and then poopooed all over its importance. "We were almost killed, let's screw!"

Trying to remember why I decided to go ahead and finish the series when Ana and Christian are so insufferable!

I was not expecting a classic to have a chapter devoted to a character's vaginal surgery LOL. Interesting read, but I keep wondering where everything is ultimately heading. I have less than 100 pages left but I can't see how it's possibly going to end.

Oh man. When Corleone called in Bonasera's favor, I was definitely not expecting it to be what it was! The meeting of the Dons was interesting; I was glad to learn the names of the other families.

Surprisingly slow but interesting. The Don flashback made me more interested in him than I originally was. Curious where the hell the book is heading, though.

Pretty good, though I'm disappointed that the perspective has shifted from the Corleone's to Fontane.

Puzo's writing is dry but the characters are really interesting, especially now that the action has picked up. I was surprised the horse head moment happened so early in the novel.

Slow but interesting. I like the scene with the mortician asking the Don for a favor. Seems like it could be interesting though I don't care for Puzo's writing style that much. Kind of surprised by the amount of sex in it.

Finished the Trojan War and now at the part where Odysseus escapes from Circe's island.

Loving the section on the Trojan War, though remembering all the heroes and which gods are on whose sides is confusing.

I've enjoyed the last few chapters even though the numerous heroes do tend to mix together after a while.

I liked it at first but I'm already losing interest. Most of the stuff with the gods I already know, but I find most of the heroes to be so forgettable. The writing style with the author writing as though the gods are still in affect and "woe to those who disappoint them" is getting old too.

Such a damn good book. I figured the end would be extremely open-ended. The preview of Book 2 started slow but got much more interesting; Theon is nothing like I was expecting from him!

So good! Hard to believe it's almost over. I guess there's going to be a LOT that isn't concluded by the time the book ends. After her most recent chapter, I'm finally starting to have a bit of respect for Sansa. Joffrey must pay!
