I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying this. This glimpse back into the olden days is fascinating. Life sucked back then!

Mostly like it except for Al's attempt to intentionally run over a cat. Aside from that I like reading about the Joads.

I love the sections devoted to the Joads. The last chapter was emotional what with the dog as well as the event in the tent. Hate most of the expositional chapters, though.

Started slow but I love the sections devoted to Tom. His family reunion brought a smile to my face. Not sure what to make of the exposition chapters, though. Liked the farming one, LOVED the short turtle one, but didn't care for the used car salesman chapter.

Page XX of the ridiculously long forward. I should just skip it (he rambles on and on) but I don't like to do that.

Interesting. While I've read this part before, I don't really remember any of it. I remember Alice dying but I don't remember how, and I don't remember Clay and Tom meeting up with this other group of phone killers either.

Oh yeah, it's picking up now. The last few scenes would be pretty creepy. I just wish the story wasn't told entirely from Clay's POV. I'd prefer to get inside Tom and Alice's head as well.

Kind of getting slow but I know things are about to pick up. The Head has convinced Clay to do something that I recall having big consequences. Unfortunately this book flies by compared to other King reads.

One of my favorite King novels. Not particularly scary but interesting. I sure thought Tom was the one that hit crazy religious lady but it was actually Clay.

Cell is the first Stephen King novel that I (mostly) read. I read over 400 pages but wound up not completing it, though I have no idea why. I absolutely loved it. Glad to be rereading it again.

Really good. Just wish I had the emotional connection to Egyptian mythology like I do Greek.

I'm enjoying it. Been probably three years since I read the first one but I'm not too lost on what's happening. Some of the humor is ridiculously goofy but that's to be expected from a children's book.

Even though the confrontation with the villain was ridiculously short, the last several chapters have been really good. I think it's the first hour's reading I've managed in which I didn't want to bash Christian's brains in for being an annoying prick. Progress!

The last few chapters have been really interesting even though I abhor Christian. I knew there was a twist coming up but I'm still thinking there's another (that Mia is working with Hyde, who is Christian's bio brother).

Aside from an infuriating argument between Christian and Ana (how does she put up with him? Not that she's much of a catch) I'm enjoying it. There are actually a few tender moments at the hospital where it feels like there is more between C/A than just lust.
