Thus far I strongly dislike it. The writing feels pretentious and Schiff just seems to be pulling random facts/speculation out of thin air. A biography doesn't have to be linear but it still has to flow, which thus far this does not.

Mesmerizing but also depressing. I look forward to starting Cleopatra but I'll miss AtME when I finish it.

It's a bit slow but always fascinating. I will say, though, that Hosseini relies too much on trying to make us think one thing only to pull the rug out from under us.

The chapter about Idris was kind of slow but I like the way it ended. I'm enjoying the current chapter, especially the interview with Nabi.

Long chapters but so enjoyable. Loved the Nabi chapter.

The 1st chapter was weird until I got to the end of Chapter 2 and realized how it ties together. Absolutely brilliant. Really enjoying this work so far. Not many books intrigue me this much in the first few pages. Look forward to seeing where all this book is going.

While I remember that Elena possesses magic in both hands, I definitely do not recall that she learns this fact from the swamp wit'ch. I also do not recall the background of the swamp wit'ch (being an assassin, being a dwarf, etc.). Odd what I do remember and what I don't, especially seeing how much I loved these books.

Not sure if I finished the book. I remember some things but don't remember others (I remember Sy'wen but not the death of a character who died before Sy'wen even appeared). I have the next two books but I currently have no idea if I've read them.

I vaguely remember Vira'ni but I do not recall her connection to another character. I think the tie actually makes her less interesting, though.

Hard to believe it's already been a year since I reread Wit'ch Fire. So glad to once again be rereading Elena, Er'ril, Kral, Meric, Nee'lahn, Tol'chuk, Mogweed, and Fardale again!

Just don't like it. The writing isn't great and there are inconsistencies. On one page Kate says "I've found Greg's killer." Fourteen lines after that, on the same exact page, she says "I'm still not sure who killed Greg." Andrews also mentioned early on that killing a vampire kills its necromancer, yet numerous vamps controlled by Olathe are killed without it harming her.
