Don't like it. Doesn't help that she treated the X-Men's Cyclops as though he's an actual Cyclops. The way she described the "human form of Cyclops" and mentioned his "ancestors" turned me off. It's just a codename, he doesn't belong in a section about mythical cyclopes.

Can't say much about it yet but I think it might help me with some story ideas.

A lot of the writing is crap but there's some really good drama. I loved Philip's relationship with April before it ended in tragedy. However, the ending was really well handled.

Mostly I find it to be really bad, but I did like the drama belt up with David's medical emergency. The most interesting part didn't even have any zombies in it.

Just not enjoying it. Hate the writing. Here's a sentence that sums up what I think of the book...

"For a moment Philip keeps the pedal to the floor, urging the thing forward with his ass cheeks, as if his sheer force of will and white-hot rage--and the tightening of his sphincter muscles--can get the blasted thing to move."

Not sure what to think so far. Like seeing Phillip not being a psycho but some of the writing is a turn-off. It feels amateurish, almost like fan fiction. Was it really necessary to reveal that fat Bobby's asscrack was exposed when fleeing from a zombie?

I asked for more action and (mostly) got it in Ebera. I like the different races, both those he created and those he gave a different interpretation of, that he uses. Lyrian's mythology is very interesting.

It could definitely use some trimming (or at least more fights) but I just love fantasy worlds.

So glad that Mull has written a "serious" children's book. I love the world he created.

Solid, but I feel like something is missing. There needs to be a major battle or something.

I wish it would focus more on Rachel than Jason.

Enjoying it but I wish I remembered the first book better.

Familiar with Fanning from Deadly Women but felt like she didn't do a whole lot of investigation here.

The testimony is fascinating, especially when the daughters are questioned about whether their grandparents have influenced their opinions about their mother.

Typical TC thus far. Nothing overly memorable about it.

I hate when true crime books paint the victim as a terrible person, though of course I have no idea if he was or not.

Interesting reading about police trying to capture criminals their country doesn't want them to. I'm liking it.

Interesting coincidence that this is the second book in a row that references Russians in Afghanistan. I'm starting to enjoy it more though the killer's scenes are annoying

Not that far into it. Writing is kind of dry but not dull.
