Enjoyable. I was confused at first because while I remembered that Percy was missing in Book 1 and I remember some kind of reference to the Roman gods, I didn't recall Percy appearing at a Roman school. It's been three years but I was pretty sure everything happened at the Greek school. It wasn't until about Chapter 4 when they mentioned Jason that I realized he was a Roman who went to the Greek school.

The chapter on how we've taken care of our nuclear weapons is scaring the hell out of me. We're lucky we haven't accidentally started World Wars III-XIII!

DynCorp gives me the creeps. Ugh. *shudder* It's interesting, though, reading about some of the political stuff that was going on when I was a child.

I had no idea Grenada had a Communist government and that the US invaded them in the 80's! It's interesting leading about all the lies (Maddow alleges) Reagan made during his presidency.

Most of what she's talked about so far has been Reagan as well as Vietnam, two things I know absolutely nothing about. Not bad but I haven't really gotten invested in it thus far.

Barely started so it's too soon to tell but I think I'll like Maddow's style from what I know about her. Enjoyed the mention of her town getting a firetruck that was too big for the town's garage LOL. Kudos to Roger Ailes, CEO of Fox News, on his comments about the book from someone who works for his competitor. That was big of him.

The first few chapters are pretty interesting as the family deals with a medical emergency that nearly takes the life of their youngest child. Then around page 60, things start to get a bit unbelievable for anyone who isn't extremely devout.

Not interested in this at all, but I've decided to give all sorts of things a shot. Even though I don't believe the author, the prologue was written really well.

Nearly completion. Not perfect but I like it. Enjoyed the section on psychology.

Loved the chapter on religion. Laughed out loud when it says the Old Testament is venerated by Jews and Christian who hate homosexuals LOL.

I'm on the section devoted to government. Love the Daily Show's description of the different forms. Currently on the page devoted to democracy.

Odd idea but it's pretty funny. It's also informative: I now know that I will never in a million years try haggis. The stuff people eat...bleh! Remind me never to go to China or southeast Asia.

Pretty funny so far. Of course, it's Jon Stewart, so funny is to be expected. I love the section devoted to the continents lol.

Enjoying it though I don't care much for the exposition chapters. Some are good, some suck.
