Missed this world, had the urge to return to it. In doing so I found myself despising the Dursley's once again, but also feeling for them. Vernon and Petunia came off scared, bitter and lost as to what to do. Do they hate Harry, or do they fear him? Was one letter from Dumbledore enough to understand the nature of Lily's death? There is a lot to unpack. Great start to a great series, hitting different now I'm 32.

This is a reread of a book I once declared my second d favourite ever. Second time, I'm stunned how different it seems this time. I am taking in so much more, it's even more captivating and whilst still complex, it isn't as challenging as I recall. I love it though, so much.
