I am at 97%, and I'm actually feeling super emotional. Why can't I stay with Stu, Frannie, Tom and Kojak for another 1000 pages? My god I know there is an argument to be made that The Stand is overlong, but I'm convinced now it's not long enough.

M-O-O-N spells FUCK THIS IS GREAT

This is another reread. It's a comforting series, one that I think has much to offer anyone chasing a good adventure with character's that leap off the page right into your heart. Still one of my favourite books of all time.

Stephen King writes like no one else. I have no reason to want to highlight issues with this book. I have a few, but none that change my mind from the feeling that I am just so grateful this book exists.

Just magnificent

It always cheers me to reread a book I loved and find my first read barely scratched the surface. The Stand isn't read, it's lived.

Stephen King is a masterful writer.

This book is massive, and though I have nitpicks, it remains one of the greatest books I've ever read. It's even better this time, as the events of Covid have added a grittier realism to it that takes away some of the "fantasy" feel of disaster stories, giving instead an uncomfortable, confrontational edge that is quite honestly frightening.

I forgot how boring Abigail is...yikes her first chapter remains a snooze

I have seen this horror mange hyped for years as terrifying.

Erm, I don't get it. I'm finding this pretty dumb and exceptionally bland.

Two girls hair gets possessed and they basically have rap battles (but, ya know, with hair) until one of them dies...

...erm what the fuck is this nonsense?

Yeah, this is my favourite ongoing series currently. And I love this as much as I loved Memory Sorrow And Thorn when I was a child.
