I'm absolutely blown away. First time I tried to read this, I enjoyed it but struggled to follow it. Now it's reading exceptionally well, I'm following the threads of story, I'm understanding the lore more, I am piecing together the puzzle pieces of information. This is amazing!

This is a fantastic follow up to Running With The Demon. It has a change of scenery, a more mature cast (some the same as before) and the writing feels tighter and a touch more ambitious. Amazed this was never adapted for TV or cinema! Loving it.

This is maybe the best Terry Brooks novel I have yet read! I love urban fantasy more and more. This has the flavour of Shannara and Stephen King. Oh gosh, I wish more people read him.

Shannara is a simple pleasure. And one I personally really love. I could complain about how it doesn't really live up to many of the best in the genre, but why would I? It has more than made its name as a staple genre favourite, and I love Shannara in all its lightweight glory as much as I do the heavyweight genre champions.
