I just read this entire book on my lunch hour. It was plenty fun. Bella is sarcastic, witty and I laughed alot more than I expected to. The story is good and the angels, fallen or not, were hot.

I'm not recommending this book to anyone since you will either love it or hate it. I love everything about it. It was better than book 1!

This book is like a drug for me. I listen to it and get completely lost in the world being described. Knowing that most of the characters are based on real historical figures makes it even better. I spent time yesterday googling many of the characters in this book. Absolutely fascinating.

I love this series. This book is even better than book 1. Lucy Snyder style is very similar to Tanya Huff's style in The Enchantment Emporium (which I loved). People will either love the Jessie Shimmer series or not. Not many in-betweens. I love it. I got up early this morning to continue reading it from last night!

This was an easy read but not the best. It reminded me of too many recent books I've been reading. In fact, I literally got confused because I was forgetting that characters in one book were not in this book. The book suffered from info overload. Too much talk, not enough plot.

Not alot happens in this book but I find the story fascinating. There is a slight mystery involved but the real story is just how Selene sees the world in Rome through her own eyes. She is a really compassionate person and you can see how the hamster wheels are turning in her head for her future and the future of the people she wants to help out.

This book reminds me of a cross between downside ghost series and Kara Gillian series, frightenly similar! Regardless, it is pretty good so far.

Selene is so headstrong. I like how smart she but compassionate. She came across as snobby initially but you can tell she has a tender heart!

Absolutely fascinating. I had to do lots of driving back and forth so I've had the opportunity to really get into the book. I don't know if I could be as nice as Octavia.

This was another recommendation and wow what a start. The audiobook reader has a great voice so it makes the book even more enjoyable. I sat in my work parking lot just to find out what happened with the slave rebellion in Rome when the twins first arrive.

I started listening to this last night and I realized I had a problem with the audiobook reader (narrator). When he changed character voices, there was not enough of a difference in the voice so I had a difficult time figuring out who was talking. Eventually, I gave up on the audiobook. I'm still interested, I'll just have to acquire the paperback copy.

This audiobook is my out-of-my comfort-zone book but I like to do that with audiobooks. I've heard nothing but great things about the book so I can't wait to begin.

I've been so into this book this morning that one of my employees startled me half to death. I thought I was the only one in our side of the building but I guess not! Lavinia breaks my heart. She has such kindness in her.

"Turn around" I said, my mind relaxing. "I want to look at your ass. I've missed your ass."
"Can you gag her?" Nash growled.
"Hey, you ass isn't so bad either." I told him.

I love Janet, she cracks me up.

Mick has returned home!!!!! I have a ton of work, a head cold and a house to clean and nothing will keep me away from this book. I'm having a secret lover affair with Mick (he sadly doesn't even know about it). Life will stop until this book is done!

Ok, I absolutely could not read a page more. I tried, I really tried but there was so much about this book I could not stand. Evalle is annoying, her sarcastic nature is poorly written, she comes across as a bitch. The "powers" that each Belador has seems like an afterthought. What an annoying book. I usually don't rate books that I don't at least finish halfway but this one was bad.

An ant just bit me! Not a red ant, or any weird ant but your everyday i'm going to take over your kitchen ant. Little shithead. Ok, now to the book, some things are annoying me- authors are substituting words- Maistir for Master, majik for magic. I know Maistir is irish for master but why do this? If you want to be creative with wording, create an entirely new word! Uhoh, I'm a moody reader, Maybe its ant sickness!

I need a recommendation for a WOW ME audiobook. Audiobooks are so hard because it can be a great book but a horrible audiobook. The narrator has to be good. I love multiple narrators. Some of my favorite audiobooks are The Kitchen House (though I'm still not finished with this one, I love it), Feed, The Passage, The Help, and Room. It can be any genre. Any recommendations?
