Can I say how much I hate the cover. I'm so glad my ARC copy has no cover (just plain white) or I'd go into this book w/ a bad attitude. I'm guessing the cover is supposed to be the main character Angus, we'll it isn't! They forgot one very important feature on him- his scars. That is such a huge part of him physically and emotionally. Too bad they kept the scars off of him. Regardless, the book is wonderful.

My MP3 is in another city! :( I'll have to wait until I get it back (tonight). I could listen to the book on my computer but I think I'll wait.

Ok, I'll admit it, I haven't stopped smiling since page 1. I adore this book. I stayed up way, way too late to read "just one more page". Angus has won me over and Mary is so fiesty and hilarious. I still can't figure out the mystery part of it which makes the book even better!

I'm obviously into my men in kilts. Yes, I'm reading two books based around men from Scotland. I can handle more than one man in a kilt in my fantasies!

Very fun story. A little twist in the end. I liked it. Very hot steamy sex too. One problem though- instead of Declan being a Irish werewolf, I kept reading it as Irish wolfhound (a very large dog) which would make me laugh and then I couldn't get the thought out of my brain. Oh well.

I really like Lexxie Couper and her books. She is very witty and it comes across in her books. This time I don't have to ask for aussie translation since I already know some of the words now! Anyhow, fun book so far.

It just wasn't working for me. Nothing wrong with the book, I just wasn't into it. I really tried. :(

This book has been boring me. Not excited by all the POV. I'm keeping w/ it though.

I really, really want to go to Scotland now. Is that a crazy desire after reading the start of a series? Did I mention I want my own Jamie?

This was the perfect book to read after reading Greyfrair. I'm almost done and I ordered book 2 and 3 (used copies for a total of $5 w/ free shipping) at Borders. I usually don't buy books anymore but I couldn't beat that deal.

Loving the book. I know I'll continue the series. Is the rest of the series as good as book 1?

Thankfully there is an aussie glossary in the front! I like Ellie. So far so good.

I think this is different enough from the book I just went stir crazy about that it won't disappoint me as a follow up book. Yes, I know both are post-apocalyptic but very different types of post-apocalyptic.

I switched to audiobook and I'm very happy I did. The reader for the audiobook is really incredible and she makes the book even better. I love this story and I love the additions of Brianna and Roger. Anyone know if this series will ever be made into a movie or has been made into a movie?

Horror.. "Suddenly two long bony hands seized her neck from above, lifting her off her feet. With choking breath, she twisted & kicked, hoping to break its grip. Its nails dug deep into her throat...."
A contrast to the Romance- "... His long fingers curled around hers, and her heartbeat raced as he softly squeezed. Her breath caught at the force of his gaze now upon her. It was no longer icy and cold..."

No time to read lately. So annoyed. I might switch to audiobook. Yes, I really have almost the entire outlander series on audiobook and paperback. I didn't buy them that way. I'm not that fanatical! I swear. There is a limit to my obessesion. Jamie and Michelle sitting in a tree... just kidding...

Finally, I'm at home! Off to read. Dishes are staying unwashed. Clothes are staying dirty. I did feed the dog and the kids (not in that order) but I must finish this book tonight! Yes, I'm obsessed with two books at once.

I'm annoyed that I can't read more right now. Darn job! The world building is crazy good in this book and frankly, I want to go back into it- dark, mysterious, scary... utterly awesome.

This book is brilliant. If you love urban fantasy and/or steampunk, this is a must read.

Ok, so I read much faster than I listen (that makes no sense but play along). Book 1 was audiobook, book 2 is paper, I'm flying through book 2 and loving every minute of it. I really thought I wouldn't like book 2 as much as book 1 but I'm clearly wrong.

holy smokes.. talk about a good start. urban fantasy meets steampunk.... me in love! Seriously though, the worst thing about this book is I had to stop reading it since I have to get back to work. Great beginning-dark, bloody & strong lead female. Yeah!

Enjoyable read, nothing outstanding.

not so sure about the "ghost" element (who would ever think me... paranormal lover I am would frown at the addition of a ghost in the story).

Brianna's 6ft tall..definitely daddy's girl! I want Jamie! I don't want to be in 1960 something. GRRRR! hurry up and go back to Jamie.

There is so much I missed the 1st time I read this book. I feel like when you get a DVD and you get extended or bonus scenes. There is so much of this book that feels different but in a good way. I think because I know what happens, I'm liking it even more the 2nd time!

God I remember why I love this series so much, it is still just as good the 2nd time around!
