I am a historical fiction virgin so I don't have much to compare to but I'm loving this book. Harrison cracks me up and the "ladies" are super fun.

Catherine Uh oh! The paranormal element isn't mentioned anywhere in the summary. That's going to piss a lot of readers off who weren't expecting (and didn't want) paranormal in their HR.


Michelle, the Bookshelf Stalker I agree. It's not badly done, just weird. Almost like the author used the great-grandmother ghost as a way to explain parts of the story that would be more difficult to explain without the ghost.
