Uh oh! The paranormal element isn't mentioned anywhere in the summary. That's going to piss a lot of readers off who weren't expecting (and didn't want) paranormal in their HR.

I agree. It's not badly done, just weird. Almost like the author used the great-grandmother ghost as a way to explain parts of the story that would be more difficult to explain without the ghost.
At least it's not badly done, even if it's only done for convenience. :\
