In January I'm having surgery and the only thing I think about is not the surgery or recovery but the extra time I'll have to read books.

Slow start, been training all day. I love the setting of the book.

Warning- I'm whining- I'm very happy that my employer is helping with the horrible economy by hiring so many people in the past two months but I'm TIRED of training- end of whine.

I'm glad Selene is not acting like the over-pampered princess like she was in the beginning. She is one smart cookie now. I like the Isis magical twist in this book.

I knew Gray would come into the picture somehow. I figured it would be book 2.

15 lashes to the back...ouch. Helios needs to keep his mouth shut. He's just going to get Selene hurt. They need to realize they are just chess pieces in Caesar's game.

I got this book in the mail yesterday & I couldn't help reading it. I love Princess Selene's story and was curious about this version of her story. So far, I love it. It's much darker than the other version I read in Cleopatra's Daughter. That's good! It seems very real rather than fairy tale.

Is this a remake of The Giver? I'm going to hold off on this book for awhile.

Of course Connor would notice her breast swelling..lol.

Oh, I love the twist about Roger's real great great great (I don't know how many greats to go) grandmother and grandfather. Brianna is flipping out- justified though. But really, did you not notice that you were like 8ft tall with red hair & the man you thought was your dad was...NOT. Ok, she isn't really 8ft tall, only SIX feet tall.

Ok, Cassia and her family are completely controlled by the Society. Right now, author is just showing how much they are controlled. When to wake up, where to work, what to study, who to date, marry, what to eat. Three little pills thing has me curious.

Ok, I'm going to try really, really, really hard to actually work for the next three hours. I feel like I'm on a book high...so many books, so little time. Except I AM at work, with 8 new employees starting tomorrow. GRRRR

I cried so much this morning. I literally had to pull over on my way to work. I was listening to the book on audio and I reached that part, the part I knew was coming from the beginning of the book, and I still boohooed like a baby. I can't believe I cried this much even though I knew what was coming!

I've read some really good books lately, hopefully this one doesn't disappoint!
