Love the start! After hating the last book I attempted to read, I was very happy when I found myself loving this book from page one!

overall I liked the book but truthfully, I was slightly bored in the middle.

Gabriel and Thalia took "sitting" on a rock to a entirely new level! Loved the scene though!

So far so good. I adore how honorable Capt. Gabriel is.

I'm back to this book and very eager to continue with it. I had a momentary Firewalker interruption.

Catherine Ooh, this one is so fun! I hope you enjoy it too.

D.G. I'm soo looking forward to this one!

Sarah Great thing about these is a new one has been coming out every month, no long wait to read the next one!

Michelle, the Bookshelf Stalker Sarah, that scares me too though. Anytime an author can write multiple books at once means that she may not have spent significant effort on just one book. I'm sure my feelings are wrong on this one because all my "friends" reviews say this book is very good!

Catherine Maybe they were written before separately and the publisher has been hoarding them until they could do this? I don't feel this book or the next book felt rushed at all. But you could feel differently.

Michelle, the Bookshelf Stalker You are probably right Catherine. I sound like a snobby reader don't I? I can't even write a status update without sounding like I never even completed a high school reading course (let alone graduated from college). Nevertheless, I'm sitting here judging authors before I've even read the book. I think I'll read the book before I judge. :)

Sarah I feel like these books have been pretty well researched, the settings in book 1 and book 2 are so different but both feel real and rich. I think it seems like the books were held on to and published close together for marketing purposes (have to admit, it's a good way to do it).

I'm loving Warrior, look forward to the other books as well!

Katyana I actually read an interview with the author, and she said she had written them all and was shopping the entire series to various publishers. So it wasn't that she banged them out quick, it was just that it wasn't bought until it was done... or at least, that's my understanding.

But yeah, I love this series. Glad you are having fun with it!

I am. I like the story, the entire idea of the Blades protecting the "source" is very interesting. I really find that I love the entire historical/steampunk genre. In fact, I'm really amazed that I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and enjoying myself tremendously.

Katyana Nice! I actually liked Scoundrel even more, and I can't freaking wait for Rebel. And lastly we get Catullus's story, woo!

I have them all on my wishlist. I will not buy those books, will not, will not, will not! (maybe if I keep saying it, I'll believe it)
