was excited when I learned this was Stephen's book, cuz liked him in Faithful Place, then my interest rapidly cooled when I learned it was multi-pov, so I put it off. Having started it, I'm considering just skipping all the chapters that aren't Stephen's pov... I really could not be less interested in 4 teen girls boarding school experiences.

I have so many damn tabs open with yall's reviews and whatnot I'm totally intending to read real soon now, but I guess when one's just said RTC for 3 months I should probably just go ahead and close it.

doesn't exactly feel like there's been any plot/relationship progression since the first "date", but it's very good

if you told 20 or even 30 yro me he'd someday be willing reading, and enjoying, sports romance he'd have laughed in your face

this is quite good, despite the sad underutilization of dear freddie. always the comic relief and never the main. of course in my version he'd end up with ashe, and joan would pair off w his silly fiancee

still getting the pieces in position. needs more freddie tho

hate when I can't just read all day

mb is all sulky in this one and I am having a hard time staying awake

forgot how short this was. also expected it to be part of the one w the daughters date.

i had misremembered this somewhat. presumably the thing that didn't happen was from another story.

all feels like setup so far. don't dislike it, but not exactly enchanted by it either. it's not clicking like omakase did. passages will just suddenly feel out of place, they don't go on long enough to be called digressive, more like awkward transitions
