The main principles still apply, but most of the numbers used throughout the examples are woefully outdated. Too bad the authors didn't update the book from its 1996 publication date.

A runaway train that I am really struggling to put down.

Spotted this in a used bookstore in Long Beach, WA. It's as dense as a longform Rolling Stone article, but a quick read nonetheless.

Really enjoying this, but I got popped out by the notion of Tate's mom going all the way to Asheville to buy a bicycle, when Wilmington, Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Chapel Hill, Charleston, Charlotte, and right there near Jacksonville would have all been much closer and likely to have anything Asheville had in the 1950s.

I'm really enjoying this collection of quotes and excerpts, though the Kindle formatting is atrocious. It would make for a better bathroom book than ebook.

For some reason, I really enjoy these "let's build great things in awful conditions" stories. Reminds me of "The Lighthouse Stevensons" which I thought was a great read.

Really enjoying this one and if you've got five minutes to spare, Google the story "Popular Mechanics" by Raymond Carver. Wow.

Haven't read many short stories over the years. Entertaining to a point. Not a fan of the abrupt endings that leave you guessing.

I'm unable to stop reading all but the worst books. This one's plot is interesting enough, but it feels at-times like an early draft that needed another round or two of critique.
