2:27:01 Pt. 1 Ch. 20 Nico - This story is so much better than Every Last Fear, I just saw the ebook is available but I'm sticking with the audio. I'm not upset I put this book off for 2 months, it will be fresh in my mind for the discussion this weekend. My only issue so far is how he fluidly switches between then and now, a bit annoying because I then have to reimagine the scene. It seems like a single-sitting book.

213 Ch. 25 Memories and Meaning - If you have the audio it doesn't match the print. They unnecessarily added the CDC, when talking about Damon's job offer, then they changed Michael B. Jordan (print) to Chadwick Boseman (audio). I hate when audiobooks act like movies and start telling their own stories; stick to the book!

Disc 6 Track 2 Ch. 17 - It took forever but they are finally speaking my language.

Ch. 8 Red Beans and Rice - I'm totally loving this story, my only issue is the first-time love story never seems realistic and has become hackneyed with the same scene on repeat but I'll let it go, this is good so far.

Ch. 29 - I'm 95% certain this is set in Ohio. This story is good so far, it's not a retelling and it hasn't borrowed heavily from anything, I think it just has fairytale elements, mostly familial drama.

Page 23 of 386 Ch. 3 Jumping the Broom - Now, this one is interesting. It's a bit more serious than the cover led me to believe, but there's the promise of carefree drama on the beach up ahead. I'm going to put a pin in this one so I can give it my full attention.

Page 31 of 265 Ch. 5 - Another May in May. I have no idea what the trope or inspiration for May and Carl is but there seems to be a side story that is secret love possibly Romeo & Juliet. So far it's okay, we'll see where it goes.

Disc 5 Track 4 Ch. 14 - You wouldn't fly into Pensacola to get to Panama City, in addition to the lack of location research, this story is all over the place and lacks romance for a Romance.

Disc 4 Track 4 Ch. 12 - There is no Dairy Queen on the Riverwalk! This book makes San Antonio sound like a cross between NYC and Bellevue, LA. SMH. I don't know where this story is going, it really is a Hallmark Lifetime co-production movie. I was wondering why it wasn’t Christian Fiction and then I fully understood why.

Ch. 19 - No one is going to use toothpicks to pick all of the feta cheese out of a salad, you'd just remake the salad without cheese. I officially dislike this story. Every time I think I'll get into it changes again. I recognized Gwen and Anthony/Tony from the last book, but I could have sworn I knew Silas, I guess he and everyone else is new as well as the location. That changes this a little as I thought she rewro

Page 71 of 225 Ch. 8 - I don't like them, but I might as well finish. These people are boring and the plot is a bit weak.

Disc 3 Track 3 Ch. 7 - I popped at least 4 nerves on this book. Between the melodramatic dialogue, the delay of important information, and the stupidity of the characters frustration doesn’t even begin to describe it. I'm glad at least there was some action once the backbone grew.

Disc 1 Track 3 of 4 Ch. 3 - This may be too sweet for my taste.

Hardcore (1979) - How did I not know Sylvester Stallone wrote Rocky, or anything else for that matter? I recognize the Robert Frost line used in Telefon from Death Proof, a new Easter egg for me. I think I'm going to watch Rolling Thunder and Paradise Valley.

Taxi Driver (1976) - Finally some pictures, but they are a little creepy and interesting part of an article. It was a nice tribute and tragic story. I'm going to investigate Daisy Darker having any inspiration from Daisy Miller. I'm only stopping because I'm sleepy, this story isn't the reason as it has become very interesting.

9:58:01 Ch. 33 - I'm falling in love with these characters, they have the emotional depth you rarely see in this genre. I'm stopping for family time hoping I'll be able to finish this tonight.

Sisters (1973) - I can only take so much of this at a time. While it's nice to hear about these books and movies I feel like I'm not going to remember the majority of this book. I totally agree about The Color Purple being toned down along with the rest of 80s movies.

Ch. 46 - A lot of this goes against procedure, but I'll allow it, I wasn't expecting this, and I have faint guesses about what actually happened, so it seems to work well. I would finish but I should be sleeping.

Ch. 13 - This is a weird format but I think it works. My only issue is it would be better if we thought they were editing interviews to blend them together rather than hopping room to room with each question.

Disc 8 Track 17 Ch. 37 - "Endless exposition dumps within the dialogue" I'm beyond over it, Matlock would have been done already and I still have another CD left. Just spill it already!

Disc 7 Track 12 Ch. 32 - It's finally going somewhere good, but we're still jogging there.

The Outfit (1973) - This is surprisingly good. I have no desire to watch these movies or read these books, okay I did look up The Getaway and Deliverance just to see, but hearing Quentin discuss them while following along in this book is quite entertaining. I think dual reading is a must as he speaks fast, and you're not going to catch all of the titles he lists in rapid-fire progression without the print. I think it

4:57:32 Ch. 18 - Okay, I love it. I'm not sure why it's so long but I wasn't frustrated over the build-up at all, these characters are well-written and complex.

Page 30 of 341 Ch. 4 - This is going to take a minute to get used to. 5 kids go camping, one is missing and presumed dead and this book is police interviews/ interrogations. Very interesting format, but its too late for me to properly appreciate it.

18:09 Ch. 2 - One chapter in and I'm not a fan but Zanders but Winston James has an awesome voice.

Page 29 of 391 Bullitt (1968) [ch. 2] - This is quite disturbing. He basically is talking about how he watched R movies with his parents starting at age 7. He talks about a movie he couldn't see because it was X rated, it just gets worse from there, but it explains a lot about his movies. This is going to take awhile.

Disc 6 Track 12 Ch. 29 - Based on the tagline and blurb, I was expecting something exciting like The Lincoln Lawyer or dangerous like The Defense; instead, I'm near the end of dull Seattle Law & Order. I'm so over it! 😒

Disc 5 Track 16 Pt. 3 Ch. 26 - Meh. The narrator has officially worked my nerves and the dialogue is so repetitive.

5:14:41 Pt. 2 Ch. 11 - She hasn't gotten all the information but this is still really good. I can't believe people don't like cooking. It's nice she said you can give up once in a while, it is hard to find real food out there.

Disc 5 Track 6 Ch. 22 - Cat and mouse tropes frustrate me. It's picking up, there is praise on moves I don't think are impressive.
