Ch. 5-4 - Why would I stop at a mini-chapter? Because I just started this chapter when the game ended and I can watch Survivor or read the other 5 or so mini-chapters and risk losing control of the remote. It's still a little dull and the font is so small.

The formatting is similar to The Institute, and that makes me read longer than I prefer to. Who wants to stop in the middle of a page at the start of a mini chapter? Page 36 of 140 Ch. 4 I was all gung-ho to read this entire series back-to-back, but it isn't going to happen. I'm taking a break from reading and afterward I will be looking for a thriller to break up the monotony.

Ch. 14 - This follows the usual pattern of Jenkins' stories. I should have been done, but Facebook distracted me. I'll finish after dinner.

Page 40 of 243 Ch. 5 - I'm not even looking for historical accuracy, I'm just enjoying the story. It's interesting.

Ch. 9 Holly - Anal chugging is something I could have lived my whole life without knowing about. This book is dull and at this point might be on the chopping block.

I was hoping this would be fun, but it's a bit too much.

Ch. 17 - I was worried about this one but it seems to be coming together. I would have been finished by now but lots of interruptions have to led me to a loss of momentum.

5:06:50 Ch. 15 - Would love to get this one over with. Each chapter feels like a different book so my feelings are mixed.

Ch. 5 Kate - This husband is already on my nerves and sugar list.

Page 93 of 340 Ch. 8 I immediately recognize Emily. I think I'm going to play this game in every book. The rest of the gang is here too and they have mentioned past events. I'm excited about this one.

Page 33 of 297 Ch. 3 - ¹The first chapter was just okay, I was worried. ²These parents are past overprotective. ³ Same location but none of these girls are familiar. ⁴ The second chapter was hilarious.

37:57 Ch. 3 - My guess is they all stole a story from an obscure writer and never acknowledged them or a crazed fan is upset they killed off a character. Either way snoozefest so far.

3:13:00 Ch. 9 - I'm still iffy on this one. The mood is all over the place. It feels like a cross between Contemporary AA and Urban Fiction with some New Adult thrown in. I'm just watching to see what happens next. I thought this was a romance.

Page 23 of 394 Ch. 3 Sophie - Honestly, I'm bored. This is more exciting but still too similar to my last book, Next of Kin, another "legal thriller" set in London. I'm rearranging my schedule; this one will take a while. I refuse to power through this mundane start.

10 pages into Ch. 16 - I'm so close but I can't read anymore. I feel like this book should be over but there's a lot left. I'll find out about the big reveal tomorrow.

Ch. 8 - I was expecting a psychological thriller, but I got a family drama mixed with a courtroom drama. It's not bad, just not worth me skipping my show for.

Page 26 of 386 Ch. 2 - I see where this is going. I thought this was going to be a thriller but it looks like heartbreak is in the next chapter I'm not happy. I'm going back to my room-com.

4:48:21 Ch. 16 - I'm so crazy about this story. I'm only stopping now because if I'm going to be in bed I should read from my tablet 😿 I hate to leave but I'll be back for laundry.

Ch. 6 - This would be perfect as a class or conference.

Ch. 24 - I have no idea where this going but it's much better.
