Some very enjoyable short stories for fans of military SF.

Enjoying the book so far. Lots of world building to this point but I'm liking the main character.

It feels like the two separate plot threads are going to merge (or collide!) soon.

Slow progress. I'm enjoying this book but I keep getting distracted.

An interesting story concept.

Reading on my flight home. My connecting flight was just delayed 2 hours... so more time to read!

So far, it's actually a bit depressing. It's like humanity took all its worst traits (corruption, religious intolerance, etc) with them to the stars.

The human hubris is going to doom a lot of characters

Just finished the prequel to this book earlier today, so I jumped right into this one.

Funny and exciting so far.

Just finished a fun story by Jean Johnson about a 25th century "barbarian".

Just finished a short story from the "Lightship Chronicles" series. I'm going to have to try the first book in the series to see if I like it as much as the short story.

An interesting set up. I'm not sure about the main character yet.

I've read this book several times, but I was in the mood for a comfortable visit with an old friend so I pulled it up for another read.

The first story is set in the Enderverse and written by Card. This is the first thing written by him I've read since hearing of his less than acceptable character traits. I felt like I should not like the story, but it was actually quite good.

Thing have cleared up for me and the various plot lines have come together.

Off to a somewhat confusing start with multiple time lines. It's starting to make sense though.

I was able to overlook the litRPG elements of the previous novel, but for some reason they seem to be bothering me more this time.
