This has been on my TBR list for years. I can't believe I finally started to read it!

I just started reading this book but I already have a problem. This is just a personal pet peeve I have but it bugs me. In the previous book we learn all about the crew of the Wayfarer. They were an interesting, colorful group of characters and I was looking forward to reading more about them. But they are not in this book. Instead, we have two new characters (one a minor character from the previous book).

I love the characters in this book!

This has been on my TBR list for a while, but I never seemed to get around to reading it. Now that I finally started I can't understand why I waited. Great book so far!

Enjoying my reread of the Elric stories so far!

I'm not normally a big reader of horror books, but I like Lumley so I thought I'd give this a try in honor of October.

Up to the fourth and last book of this omnibus!

I first read these books while on a road trip with my parents back in the 60s. They are definitely a bit dated now, but they are still fun stories.

Brin's world building in this book is brilliant.

I love the way Tchaikovsky makes each of the races in the book so different.

I've heard a lot of people say this book isn't as good as Childten of Time, but I'm really enjoying it as much as I did the first book.

An interesting set up, and things are getting exciting fast!

The first time the story mentioned that "Eric Flint" ran a resturant in town I thought it was a cute in-joke. They've mentioned it 3-4 times now and it's getting kind of distracting at this point.

Off to a good start!

This book is starting to remind me of my less favorite parts of Time Enough For Love. Endless reminiscing about how wonderful the "good old days" were, at the expenseof the actual plot.

I was sure I already read this years ago, but either I was mistaken, or I've totally forgotten the story.

I'm somewhat disappointed to find that the series has done a time-jump and introduced a whole new cast of characters. 😕

Just finished an interesting story about AI and Asimov's Three Laws

Off to a good start.

I grew up around Chicago in the 60s and remember the big aelwife (small bait fish) die off in 1967 when they piled up on the public beaches. Now I understand what led to that event and why it stopped.

I remember hearing about the St. Lawrence Seaway in school, but they never mention it was such an economic failure.
