Eight years later, and I still remember some parts of the story. A good re-read.

I know it will be just as good the second time.

I’ve read this before, but it’s worth a second reading.

The Depression and the Dust Bowl are about to hit Aunt Em and Uncle Henry.

Similar in tone to Anne of Green Gables, a new set of cousins and friends have adventures on Prince Edward’s Island.

So relatable!

A bit slow to start. More examples of how powerless women were until recently, with no rights in marriage and few opportunities to live independently. Main character Jennie suffers from dyslexia, it seems.

After 8 years, I have forgotten the details; appears to be worth a re-read.

More unsung heroes and a new aspect of nursing in WWII. Very good!
